October 20, 201015 yr I Suppose if it's been drilled into you by preachers and parents and basicly everyone from a very young age it's bound to stick with you
October 20, 201015 yr Our biology teacher was talking to us about the some of the situations in america and was kind of laughing at it  And about kids were picketing against being thought evolution D: obviously the parents were behind it. It sucks. It's scary. It's for their place of worship, not school.
October 20, 201015 yr I once was watching this documentary on evolution. It looked great, but as it turns out the whole thing was about disproving evolution. And during the course of the documentary, the scientist looking into the theory was an atheist at the beginning, and a devote Christan at the end. It was a load of crap. I didn't even watch the whole thing, I had to skip parts where the "facts" proving God were shown.
October 20, 201015 yr Author This thread is awesome. thanks :) I don't know if you know this, but this thread is a part of the skeptical thread, I post a new topic every week that is about some skeptical or atheist issue, we talked about 9/11 and aliens recently :)
October 20, 201015 yr "God' created us to evolve, as the world itself is ever changing. all ima sayin.:P It's strange how no religions were saying that at the time, or even for quite some time after Darwin had developed the idea. Just another thing they have been forced to accept and then claim is all part of God. They will continue to deny Science until it becomes impossible, and then they simply suggest that it is God, but everybody knows that an argument or rule that is all encompassing, is not an argument at all, as it has had to be contorted into a shape to prove everything and constantly evolves itself. Religion should acknowledge evolution, one reason being how much they evolve themselves, specifically on the topic of evolution.
October 20, 201015 yr Science, all the way... religion? Excuse me whilst I go get sick at the mention of it...
October 20, 201015 yr I do not know it's something personal belief for me it is already a movement, communities of people who think one thing only creationism . as I said. no believe, in religions is as sects because definition of sects : community of people who believe in one thing and the law dictates. because for me in the world there are many unsolved or explained mysteries . I would be more interested for finding the harmony, the coabitation between science biology evolution and spirituality of a belief invisible. because if the soul exists and is invisible and I do not know maybe an invisible force power something supreme ( God) who created human evolution the prehistory and the bible are people who have existed and as the study of history to learn to live in peace and love. anyway it's the evolution : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human
October 20, 201015 yr Author Creationism. /doesn't discuss any further you can't say you are a creationist and not discuss it any further :( I wannnnna knowww
October 20, 201015 yr Excuse moi, but i just had to LOL at this , coming from one who names herself "Prophet" "I had to skip parts where the "facts" proving God were shown. " __________________

October 20, 201015 yr I'm not religious, so Darwin ftw. BUT I do have to say that it's kind of weird that we are alive because the chance of having sustainable life on earth (or any other place for that matter) is so incredibly small. I recently saw the documentary series Earth (BBC) and the episode about volcanoes is really, really interesting and gives loads of information about how life on earth developped. :wacky: Out of all the different creationisms intelligent design makes the most sense, although I still think it's nonsense.

I can't believe you put the word sense and creationism in the same sentence :laugh3:
October 20, 201015 yr Author You guys all sound so intolerant. we are having a rational debate, you are free to join ;)
October 20, 201015 yr Well, I think it's harder to understand or see why other people would believe in creationism when you're not religious yourself than the other way around. For me there's not enough evidence for creationism (and I kinda think that is important) so it's hard for me to take it seriously. As I said, I see some sense in ID, but that's only because it basically is "superior being creates contitions for evolution to take place".
October 20, 201015 yr :stunned:As said- i believe in a bit of both. you completely missed my point, let me put it simply Creationists don't believe in Evolution, they think God put us on the Earth just as we are know. Kels is not a creationist because she does believe in Evolution. She said she believed in both, and this is where there's a crisis with the entire 'creationist' term, I doubt you'd get on person on this forum to say they don't believe in dinosaurs or the countless facts that are supported by science. They may say they're 'creationists' but also believe that there were dinosaurs and we descended from apes, it's where it all falls apart. Evolutionist suggests a person has no belief in God, so you can see where there's a conflict with someone who believes both in science and a God who created science and the universe around us. But yes I do see your point point now, I got confused in the whole 'creationist vs evolutionist', the topic would really be simply "Are you a creationist?", as that would be looking for people who believe literally everything the Bible says.

Kels and people who hold her beliefs are believers in ID (intelligent design) I guess you could call it a type of creationism, but when I think of creationists I think of someone like Sarah Palin who doesn't believe Dino's existed 65 million years ago
