Me too. Much as i hate to say it, i can't see any Batman villian matching up to Heath Ledger's Joker in my eyes, he's one of my favourite movie characters ever. :bomb: However, i'm still really interested in this new movie.

Nolan tries giving each character a darker edge than the way they have been portrayed before. Can Anne Hathaway play such a role? I think she's good but have never seen her in those kind of movies. So I remain sceptical despite knowing I could be wrong. ;)

The choice of Anne still puzzle me a little, but she proved she can play edgy and twisted character well (see 'Rachel getting married' for which she had an oscar nomination...).

I was in the same state of mind when Ledger was annonced as the Joker and see what he did with it! So I give Anne a joker( ahhaa :P )

Also I'm quite disappointed that Bane is the villain. A pretty poor choice IMO. I would've liked to see The Penguin or The Mad Hatter or The Riddler (though he's very similar to the Joker).

 

Hopefully some other villains might make an appearance.

Reading about Bane's role in the "Knightfall" era, if Nolan portrays the character properly, I think it'd be a very nice choice. Most film adaptations of that character, as I read, portray him as a simple thug as opposed to the super smart strongman that he really is.

yeah, may just work. you never know until you've seen the movie.

 

& Anne may have chosen to go for that role to break her current role stereotype much like she shook off her Princess Diaries stereotype when she transitioned to slightly more serious/grown-up movies.

if they cast hugo strange it should go to bryan cranston

if they end up casting joseph it will probably be a small part
