Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D

That is not so bad for two VIP tickets, considering someone has paid 1750 for an ordinary ticket ;)

Is that Liverpool or Newcastle?

I agree not a bad price!

Liverpool!

:stunned:

Are you rich? My car didn't cost that much!:P

Rich? No, I don't think so! Unfortunately they were my last 1500 pounds!

It's an special present for my wife (if I'm still married when she knew the price), so... what can I do?

awwwww how cute!!!! lucky wife! :)

Is there anyone who should have won but hasn't recieved an email or is it just me?? :S

It's not just you. Myself and (at least) 2 other people should have won general at Liverpool. I contacted the phone number on my other e-mail yesterday, and the lady was like "I don't have access to that information right now because I'm leaving for the day but I'll take down your e-mail address and look into it tomorrow and get back with you." Well, it's tomorrow, and I haven't heard anything. I'm going to call the charity again, if that doesn't work I'll call seetickets. If seetickets screwed up Liverpool people will be like rrrroooooaaaawwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I have two questions for people outside the UK, who won the auction tickets:

1. Are you collecting the tickets at the venue or having them sent over to you?

(I marked the delivery, I didn´t really expect to win and didn´t think about it, but I remember there were problems with Seetickets deliveries..., so I´m getting a little bit worried. I think they should approach these tickets more responsibly than the common ones, as they were auctioned, and more expensive... but anyway, who knows?)

Does anybody know, if I can change the delivery to collecting at the venue?

2. Are you sending the money from your account (non-GBP) in GBP or in your currency?

(I asked at my bank and they told me it is better for me to send the money in EUR, otherwise I will be charged quite a considerable fee, but I should check whether the recipient will accept it, what do you think? I wrote to Crisis, but as it´s weekend now, I don´t expect reply until Monday)

Thank you!

To answer your questions:

1. I am collecting at the venue, that is the option I chose since I think it said they didn't deliver outside the U.K. You could call seetickets with your reference number and see if they can change it so you can pick them up at the venue, it can't hurt to ask.

2. I went to the bank yesterday evening and they did the bank transfer in GBP. That way there are less fees, and also the charity's bank can do the currency conversion (to make sure it is paid in full and not off by a few pounds). I just printed out the e-mail and they took all the information from that. Make sure the bank includes your code (CP1000---) on the transfer info!

Hopefully that helps!

I've got two VIP TICKETS!!!!!!! :shocked2:

Congratulations! :awesome:

Well, as I marked the delivery, my e-mail says - "This includes the postage charge of £5.25 (Royal Mail Special Delivery), if you have opted for the order to be sent to your address."

But I will call them anyway just to make sure.

And regarding the transfer, are the data they gave us in the e-mail sufficient? My bank seems to need a SWIFT code or BIC or something like that, I don´t know, if it´s the same code as they gave us as "Sort Code"

My e-mail also said the same thing (includes postage if you chose that option), but it will be obvious based on the price that is in bold. So if your bid was £100, it will show up as £105.25. If it just shows up as £100, you are already set to pick it up at the venue.

Yes, everything the bank should need will be on the e-mail. They will need the sort code and account number that is below the bank address, I don't think they need the charity number but it is there anyway, and also your reference number.

Yeah, my total price includes the postage.

Well, I´ll wait until Monday, hopefully they will reply to all the questions I´ve sent.

Damn! I thought that either their systems had some issues or the folks went home for the weekend and froze the whole process. The "We shall contact you nearer the event to inform you whether your bid has been successful." is pretty vague afterall....

Right now I really have to study for a biology exam but when I finish I'll try calling seetickets. Though I'm afraid they'll have closed for the day/weekend by then :/

Email has literally just arrived - 9:57pm. Successful bid of £151.67 if anyone is keeping score :)

Hmmm, I should check my e-mail then. Was your bid for Liverpool or Newcastle?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and congratulations! :awesome:

Cool! Well hopefully I'll see you there. Just checked my e-mail, still nothing yet.

Looks like there must be some trapped in the mystical internet at the moment - can't believe there is someone at See doing them at 10pm on a Sunday night having ignored it all weekend!

Still haven't heard anything about Liverpool. :|

Although I did get a nice little e-mail from See this morning, "oh we just noticed you are an international customer so we should probably give you the bank's IBAN and SWIFT numbers, since you'll need that." Mmmmkay. I did the transfer for Newcastle on Friday... or at least I THINK it got there.

Yes, I got the same, I´m going to pay today.

And I phoned the Crisis event team and asked about the delivery. They assured me it will be all right, I should have the ticket at home two weeks before the gig. So if I won´t have it by then, I will phone them again.

They were nice, answered all my questions. :)

Pardon my French but FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

I just called the Charity, and you are only allowed to attend one gig. Smooth. Would have been nice to know that before making plans! So that's why I haven't received confirmation for Liverpool yet.

^ That sucks! :(

They hadn't thought about... I don't know, telling someone that?
