^ That sucks! :(

They hadn't thought about... I don't know, telling someone that?

Yeah apparently that was the "rule"; although it was NOT stated in the Terms & Conditions. I knew you they would take the highest bid from one gig (if you happened to bid on both types for the same gig), but there was NOTHING stated that you couldn't win from each one. I'm not trying to sound greedy or anything, it's just that... plans have already been made. Plus I would think they would want to raise the MOST for the charity, and that is completely counterproductive to that goal!

Pardon my French but FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

I just called the Charity, and you are only allowed to attend one gig. Smooth. Would have been nice to know that before making plans! So that's why I haven't received confirmation for Liverpool yet.

I'd get in touch with Debs to explain the situation. You're coming from abroad with all the costs and planning that requires, and they DIDN'T put that in the conditions, did they? NOT GOOD ENOUGH (and if they didn't put it in the conditions I'm don't think it's legal either) :(

:bigcry:

But I really don't want to bother her after already sending an e-mail to Anchorman on Saturday inquiring if he knew what was up. Of course, that was before I found out this lovely little detail.

but why are they sending tickets out? when i took them from the standard sale i've seen that i have to collect them at the venue's boxoffice!

There are people who managed to buy the regular tickets for both the shows, but this condition didn't apply to them, so it seems a little bit stupid to only apply it to the auction, especially if it wasn't mentioned in the terms & conditions

What should we do?!?!?????

The lady I spoke with said there is always a chance that some tickets could go back up for auction after Friday if people don't pay. But she said that would be unlikely since so many people have already paid. Plus if there was that "rule" anyway, it wouldn't matter. I told her that people already made plans and intentionally bid a certain amount to ensure those plans (i.e, coming from across the pond and hence really trying to make the trip worthwhile), and she sounded sympathetic but there wasn't really anything she could personally do about it. It's not like I could get mad at the lady, it's not her fault.

Carrie, you need to go above her head, as she's just using the rules she has in front of her. Either speak to someone higher up who could use their discretion, or write to Debs. I'd do both straightaway, or maybe try the first and then write to Debs.

If it wasn't in the terms and conditions it's not acceptable, and like I said I'm not sure it's legal.

If I call the charity number, I'm just going to get the same lady as it is her direct line. And I'd sound like a beeatch if I'm like, "hey I wanna talk to your supervisor". And I don't really even know who set the ad-hoc "rule" anyway; she didn't say if that was Crisis' decision, or See tickets.

I suppose I could contact Debs, but at the same time Anchorman hasn't responded to my question from Saturday, so I also don't want to sound likea beeatch from that perspective either, because it will sound like I'm trying go over/around his head too.

Carrie, I just spoke to Holly at Crisis.

She sent me her email - and asked me to write about my complaint about the whole situation, and she will forward it to Seetickets tommorow morning (UK local time).

I won a VIP ticket for Newcastle gig and I was also bidding on regular tickets for both Newcastle and Liverpool gigs and a seperate VIP ticket for the Liverpool gig. My bids were significantly higher than the current winning bids but I DIDN'T win. (just like Carrie)

Since it was NOT stated in terms & conditions that you CAN'T go to both shows - and after seeing people posting that they won tickets at £150-£175 - we automatically assumed that we also won as our bids were x2 of the current winning bids - so we went ahead and booked all our flights and accomodation for BOTH Liverpool and Newcastle. We are flying from overseas so it's not cheap.

I understand why you wouldn't want to try the charity again, but Debs would NOT think you were being bad, she would completely understand, and if she could help she would.

Really hope it all works out :)

Oh, excellent point! And if they were going to make a restriction, it seems like THAT would be the more relevant restriction, to the 50 quid seats.

I don't think you would sound like a bitch for calling them again, after all nothing was written on the terms & conditions. The only problem is that probably the people who won instead of you might have already paid, and they cannot take the tickets away from them now :\

Hope you and lo&loud will solve the problem, it would be great to meet two of the people who own some of the most important items from the band :nice:

To bad i can't be there :/

Me too....to bad, I don´t live in London/England... to those of you who was lucky enough to get tickets; please tell us all from the shows and take loads of pictures!! Please share the experience with all of us coldplayers, who can´t go! :stunned::kiss:

I am also truly jealous of you who get to go on the boat-trip.....:\

hello! does anyone know an email for see tickets cause i have a question about the payment and the stupid site doesn't let me see the page with the email??

I think the best option is to call directly the Crisis Events Team, the number you see at the end of your e-mail.

any one heard more rumours where the liverpool gig will be?

I sent the money via Bank and everything should be ok but I haven't recieved a cofirmation from Crisis or See so I'm not entirely sure they got my money. Called Holly and left a message on voicemail but I was wondering if they do send any payment confirmation emails at all! So has anybody recieved sth like that??

I called yesterday, but some guy answered the phone and gave me her e-mail address to ask her. I sent her an e-mail to make sure their bank received the payment, but she has not responded yet.

Holly Allen answered me about my bank transfer on 23th Nov:

"Thanks for your payment, we will send you a confirmation email within 7 days."

So I think we had to wait a few days to receive the confirmation email!

So they'll send us a confirmation e-mail within 7 days. But what if it actually didn't get there and it is stuck in bank-wire-transfer limbo? If they don't have the money by Friday, they give your tickets to someone else.

mmmkay.

Can you give me the contact details for this person (?) as I'm in a very similar situation to yourself, I sent my bank payment on tuesday and i've heard nothing since... I just hope it got there!
