Well it says 'because of our surprises'

which I'm guessing is to whether somebody can make it for those dates

Haha yah, I don't wanna jinx it....

Oh well I'll just put it very broadly and non-specifically...

My guess would be that it might involve a certain 4 men showing up and playing a certain few songs on a certain few instruments in the form of a private little performance....

Once again, pure guess.

Would be a lovely setting for it too....

I Would love that but I wouldn't want to get all my hopes up

Pff I'm looking forward to this way too hard. I probably won't be with the lucky few. I'm preparing myself for another dissapointment :(

If someone wins a pair of tickets and will go alone, please consider me. I will pay you in chocolate

Yeah, I'm trying not to jinx it or get anyone's hopes up, because honestly I'd just love to speak to the three men that are confirmed to be there, but...I feel like if Coldplay HQ is going to throw a party for 100 of their most diehard fans in London at a time that the boys are almost definitely also in London...it would be almost surprising if they/some of them didn't at least make a cameo appearance. And the whole "we're not yet sure of the date" thing...makes me think they have to juggle schedules...and Thursday is Thanksgiving and Chris's wife is American...which could make scheduling unclear....

Yeah, I didn't just say any of that :escaping:

I wonder if it could act as a listening party for a couple of songs they have finished? Because aren't they doing the AMAs on Sunday? They might premiere something there and play it for the party...

What's your name ?

I'm Kat by the way

Hey Kat, nice to meet you.

I'm Natt (hey it rhymes! :P)

Oh wow, really hope I get tickets, good luck to everyone :nice:

What on earth do you wear on a boat on the Thames in the middle of November when you're meeting Roadie 42 & all his friends?

Roadies #43 and 44?! :P

haha :laugh3:

awwww.... this sounds really awesome. :nice: Christmassy, Coldplay and a possible chance for everyone to catch up too!! :)

Lovely to see you here Kara!! Have you applied? It'd be incredible to catch up if we both won

...

and...guh...you are in LONDON and they said there will be SURPRISES...YOU LUCKY GUYS WILL MEET THE WHOLE BAND!!!

And maybe hear some new stuff! :bomb:

Extremely jealous! Good luck to everyone!

I VERY much doubt personally that any of the band would be there - if only to not risk the possible 'attentions' of the *ahem* ladies of the forum, but a new track or two, or at least an announcement, isn't out of the question I don't think :sunny:

Yah I was thinking something similar, about the possible playing of a new song or two....

I think I'd get all shy If I met the actual band members :shy:

As much as I'd love to meet any of the band... I have the feeling you'd be right about that. Although the scheduling thing does make it sound a bit suspect y'know?

But track previews or LP5 announcements would be to die for anyway!

And the opportunity in itself is just amazing!

But it would be weird if at least 1 member didn't show his face right? I mean, they are all in London, whilst knowing that somewhere in a boat there are 100 fans of their most awesome forum. If they really love their fan community, at least 1 member should show up

Ohhh...Maybe they'll be coming back from Los Angeles and the American Music Awards? I wish...:laugh3:

^^Mmhhmmm. They've always seemed to really apreciate fans and have been lovely to people in the past...

Not like some bands I could mention *cough*Kings of Leon*cough*

It's a boat trip not a party on a boat moored along the Thames, there's a huge difference. If it was 'just' a party there would be a very slim chance of an appearance I think, but on a five hour trip with no way to get off the boat? I don't think the boys have enough time away from their families for that for 100 fans, no matter how devoted we are, nor the energy!!

But absolutely agree with everything else you say, what an opportunity!! :D

All I can say is they have been known to surprise us , like with that apple performance

Yeah, I understand that it's a trip... But there are plenty of opportunities for moorings to let the band on and off if they were to make a surprise appearance even for an iddy bit.

I've been on a similar Thames cruise before, and they have the ability to make multiple stops to let people off and on. Just sayin'. I'm not sold one way or another on the band being there, and as much as I'd LOVE it, I don't really care in the end, because that's not why I applied. I just think they've been known to surprise us, as has been said above, this was probably their idea (or someone very high up, like Phil or Debs), the timing and location fits as far as we know, and the uncertain scheduling is fishy.

I think it's awesome that they even just care about us this much.

Now all we need is no age restriction and the same thing in America. . . :P

I just can't see any of the band members appearing, and I'm worried that people are getting too excited about that possibility.

I say let's just get excited about what we already know, hope and pray we get tickets, and anything else will be a huge huge bonus ('even' just an exclusive play of a track!!)

Anyway, Viva la Thames!!

Just meeting 99 other Coldplayers is a treat within itself! :P

Very well said. :D You're completely right. It's not the 'mystery potential of the band turning up' that people have applied for. It's for all the things that have been confirmed. I mean, I'd personally love to meet Matt McGinn and Phil Harvey. It's like a dream come true.

*Keeps reminding self not too get too excited about it yet*

@ Tonsu and Showbizz:

Good piece of advice not to put up hopes too high. And just meeting 99 other Coldplayers is a treat within itself. So well put!

yeah I'd be more happy about meeting you guys than about the chance of meeting the band
