Dear;

lovely members who remember my podcasts/friends of mine/people here who dislike me/people who like food. etc...

 

To move onwards and upwards from podcast to Vodcast and also to correspond with the build up and release of LP5 I am going to be starting a new show exclusively ON YouTube FOR Coldplaying members. It'll be a fun and interactive way to find out what's been going on in weekly doses of the Coldplay world using news sources, insider information (there's always somebody with a scoop!), fan opinions and ofcourse, everybody on the board will be encouraged to share opinions in audio/skype interviews on hot Coldplay topics. I haven't got all the wires straightened out yet so I'm still looking for people to help me out and to figure out new formats that you would like to see in a weekly Coldplay news show. If you have any rad (yes, Rad) ideas or just want to help out in any way then raise your hand and starting in a couple of weeks we'll try and put it together.

I think so, a lot more people enjoyed the podcasts than I ever thought would.

If enough people get behind it and it's executed properly then I think it could be popular on the board.

 

...and THEN we'll think about going global :awesome:

That and Prospekt's March is sort of an LP4-era thing, so I have to party-poop on that idea, apologies.

 

Aside from that, though, this sounds like a stellar idea. I know Coldplaying has had some ideas for fan-involved videos in the past but they never really panned out, so if we could get something like this off the ground, it could be a hit. I could help out as long as I don't have to do karaoke. :P I'm totally okay with my voice being heard (i.e. through a Skype call recording) but I'm gonna stop short of actually having my face seen. :/

 

As for further ideas? Umm...well, if we're doing this in a podcast-like fashion, we should probably start by gathering a group of individuals, or "hosts", who would be willing to recite the latest news and rumors just to get that kind of stuff out there, and then we could have further individuals chip in with their opinions and speculation. That was probably your idea, anyway, but since I personally deem myself as not being knowledgeable enough about Coldplay but still have passionate opinions, I probably wouldn't be one of your "hosts", so to speak.

 

We could always mix things up with some fun things, too (maybe games? I dunno, I have no ideas for those). Honestly, I think one of the more difficult things is agreeing upon an appropriate time for everyone to participate, seeing as how Coldplaying consists of members worldwide. Meh, once we agree upon a medium for doing this (I'm on Skype all the time, for instance, but I don't believe I have the materials for recording), then we can sort those sorts of kinks out.

I'm up for creating a logo/intro! :) or other graphics...like "Coldplay Weather" (or whatever it is going to be...). I'm pretty skilled at this, and would like to help very much.

 

What sort of equipment do you have? (camera, lightning, mic, etc...)

btw, if you really wanna make it funny, go for randomness and make it "go fast"... you probably know Charlie - one of the most famous youtubers ( youtube.com/charlie ).. I think that the kind of humor he uses would really fit this format :)
