Favorites albums so far:

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues

Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes

Radiohead - The King of Limbs

Cut Copy - Zonoscope

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong

The Decemberists - The King is Dead (this one is solid at best, but a significant improvement over their previous)

TV on the Radio - Nine Types of Light (not as amazing as previous two, but still great)

Overrated:

Panda Bear - Tomboy (I liked it and everything but didn't like pitchfork fawning all over it and giving an ok review to TVotR, and it doesn't come close to Person Pitch, somewhat inconsistent)

James Blake - self titled (really don't get this one; a couple of good songs, but for the most part just sounds very dull to me)

On another note, I think the new fleet foxes might become my favorite album of the decade so far. I'll admit I was a bit worried upon first listen because it sounded like a repeat of their first album, but after 3-5 listens I realized that wasn't the case. The melodies are more complex, labyrinthian and constantly reveal new layers, and I think Pecknold has made a significant step up in his songwriting. Yes it's true that some of their formula hasn't changed (such as the vocal harmonies) but it's a good thing.

Looking forward to the new Okkervil River, and especially The Antlers.
