In May for sure, but if it came out on August 11th I'd be quite happy. What would make a 17th birthday more perfect than a new Coldplay album? Nothing, that's what.

I think it'll be released in March because I think they'll want new material for these festivals.. I mean, who's headlining festivals with material that's three years old? I think they'll also want time to practice performing it a bit before these major festivals by playing some gigs here and there. So, March it is. :) Wishful thinking....

That's like releasing dates for movies. Tentpoles always has the best releasing dates (usually May-July & November-December) for big box-office. New album is going to be huge. That's why I think they won't change successful formula and would release it somewhere in May or June. Because best time for touring is summer. And announced festivals gigs talk about the same. Everything is ready for new album.

 

I remember we didn't hear about release date of VLV until March or something like that.

For the longest time I was thinking June, but now with them doing all of these festivals, I don't think so. Festivals and "promotion time" would conflict with each other. I think they'll end up introducing material at the festivals, and then releasing it in... I'll say August.
