Now I'm just thinking about why are they being so late to release LP5... I think that they must be doing something really amazing and that's the reason for waiting so long time... I voted June, it would be a fair date, and if it can't be June, it will be July for sure. I hope so :)

I have a feeling that LP5 will either be compared side-by-side with X&Y or with AROBTTH and Viva. In other words, it will either be a not-so-good album, or a masterpiece.

^To me Coldplay had two masterpieces (AROBTTH and Viva) but if there's a 3rd I'll have another reason to love them :P

I'm hoping for the same. I think it might possibly be. They've put a lot of thought and time into this album. I'm sure that's going pay off. We'll just have to wait and see. Right now I'm wondering when they will announce what they're going to play at the festivals. The first one is June 3rd I think. That's not that far away.

I think it was already said that they aren't playing any new stuff in the summer, which i think will suck but I also don't believe it either. I'm hoping they'll do something similar to the Kings Of Leon when they were doing festivals last year and play us a few that will definitely be on the album

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's going to be a set of older songs. It would still be nice to know a setlist. Maybe they'll play some stuff that hasn't been played live in a while. But as you said I do hope they'll play 1 or 2 new ones.

Personally as great a setlist they can put out already I find it bizarre that they wouldn't at least showcase 1 or 2 new songs. I'm still not convinced their will be no new songs at these festivals. Perhaps not for their earlier shows but later on maybe Glastonbury they could give us something new in the form of a song or two. Glastonbury headliners are broadcast live on national tv by the BBC and being the big event it is I would be surprised if nothing new came out of this show.

That does seem likely. The guys mentioned that they wouldn't be showcasing any new material before Glastonbury--but once the show starts . . . :wink3: :sneaky:
