I think they compared him to Jesus cause in the collectiv conscience, it's such an iconic figure+they talk about the 'resurection' of their career. I don't think it's nonsense. It's just a figure of speech, just as you can say you're as strong as Popeye! ;)

This is a weird coincidence! I was watching Gossip Girl (the first series) the other day, and looked up the women singing the song at the Ball - it's these girls! :D That's really cool Guy helped them... their song was good in the show.

Thanks for posting. I like these sisters. They're really beautiful as well as talented. Guy is a talented and energetic person, good for him! And I doubt any offense or blasphemy was intended when the article said they branded him "Jesus"... You never know in what sense they said it...these writers ad lib all the time to put their own spin on stories.

John Lennon got into a LOT of trouble in the US for comparing The Beatles to Jesus / Religion and taken out of context by the bible belt.. it started a Burn Beatles campaign. Hope this doesn't happen to Coldplay because of these two trying to grab headlines by using Guy's fame!!

 

Here's the Lennon quote in full for those interested that featured in a London Evening Standard. He was at the time reading about religion at the time.
