March 28, 201115 yr Great find. It's hard to tell really. My guts says it is real, but it could as well be a total fake. And the frustrating part of it is that we'll probably never know. Maybe the Oracle will help us out (even though they'll probably take it off then)

Anyway, I never really understood why a band would record an instrumental demo. Instruments are too plain, I lean towards fake, though it's a nice tune.

So all they do is take out the singing layer and voila, one instrumental coming up

March 28, 201115 yr It's...wow, extremely pretty, but to me it has fake written all over it. There's nothing in there that seems uniquely them at all to me, nothing that couldn't be produced by talented copycats. Also, as said above, it doesn't fit the description we have of it. Without a voice, or something that just SCREAMS Jonny/Guy/Will, I don't buy this for a second.

March 28, 201115 yr I'd vote fake, understanding the "layering". Too banjo-esq to me. I would also have expected more from this song, but maybe the build-up was more than what the end result really was, and why it didnt ever make it to album.

More specifically, the brass came into the third verse of the song, rather than the entire piece. Seeing as this is only 40 seconds of the song, chances are it could still be in there. March 28, 201115 yr Regardless of its authenticity, it is very beautiful. It does sound Coldplay-ish, though.
