May 30, 201115 yr I certainly don't feel the lyrics are coming from Chris Martin's personal experience. Rather he's put himself in the mind of a youth caught up in war. Influence of White Rose movement/anti nazi resistence movement shining through maybe? oh, i agree, it's definitely not written from personal experience. it just seems like maybe part of it is from the perspective of, as you say, "a youth caught up in war," but other parts seem to be from the view of someone older. :shrug: Just telepathically message Guy. May 30, 201115 yr Hah. I don't think it's a certainty, but I mean -- we can hope, right? Or not. I'm okay waiting a little longer, it's just unbelievably hard. And yeah -- that was my second thought, thinking Guy was probably very capable technically. I'd imagine most of the guys are, though, given their jobs. At least I think they'd be fairly clued in as to what goes on during recording etc.
