On topic, OP has a point. A few points even. Notice how 1/4 of all Coldplay fans would prefer ETIAW over any of around 6 classic songs that's in a list, including Imagine and Wonderwall.

Wonderwall is on roughly the same level as ETIAW for me, actually. I've never understood all the hype, for the song or for the band. And I think it's kind of ridiculous to label certain songs as "classic" great songs, because to me there is no one song that everyone is required to like. Although, of course, I do understand what point that poll was tying to make.

Yeah, after all it's all about taste and opinion. I don't like either Bohemian Rhapsody or Stairway to Heaven, but I acknowledge that these are classics. I think Wonderwall is nowhere near the best Oasis song, and though they're a good band, they're just a bunch of assholes, especially Liam.
