Better quality video (Yellow in the beginning).

I guess Chris will probably sing a part from a U2 song

And say something like: ''This is the band we've always wanted to be, I'm sorry we're not that good looking and not have so many hits'' :D

Yep. And at some point, he'll screw up the lyrics. :p

Nice!

Hopefully now some (not all) U2 fans will stop bitching about Coldplay. I don't understand why some people can't love both bands when it's clear that the aforementioned bands love and respect each other. Thanks Bono.

Now when Coldplay sings Yellow and the crowd sing along, people will say that they are copying U2 :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

Nice!

Very well said.

Usually, I can't stand it when anybody covers a Coldplay song, but U2 are one of the only bands with the power to pull it off and not make it sound bad or cheesy.

The way they did it was spot on, and a great tribute!:D

However, Bono should have done a "Chris" and sung "Where The Streets Have No Drain"!!

Amazing crowd :)

Yes - an amazing atmosphere, even in the pouring rain, similar to when Coldplay headlined in 2005.

That was a nice gesture :cheesy:

LMAO.

But what song they could pick up? Probably one of the biggest U2 hits? Maybe Walk On? Sunday Bloody Sunday?

 LOL oh dear.... LOL

- I think Coldplay could easily be compared to the 'next generations' U2.... most fans of U2 are Coldplay fans, but the similarity between the two bands can't be denied... NO i'm not saying they are alike in sound or anything. I am saying their stories are similar, their fan base is similar... and the chemistry between band members is similar. I don't think they ever 'seriously disliked' each other... and if anything, maybe U2 is an influence on Coldplay.... its wonderful to see them both headlining at this years Festival... wish I was there. :( - But I love how Bono didn't know all the words... but the crowd was right there to help him out! lol

bottom line.. iMO- Coldplay is the new U2. HOWEVER.... I don't think Coldplay has had their Joshua Tree just yet......

I'm here all Glasto (and beyond)!:P

Couldn't agree more. The world's two greatest bands both headlining at the same festival. Doesn't get any better than that.

The other thing Coldplay and U2 have in common is so many rousing songs which can be regarded as "anthems", which everyone can sing along to.

That's what main stage Glasto is all about.:D

Let's hope you're right!

I'm gonna bet on it being either With Or Without You or Beautiful Day. Muse did Where The Streets Have No Name last year, so they won't pick that.

They won't be able to do "Beautiful Day" if it's still chucking it down!:P

what a brilliant singalong! I want to see Chris,Guy,Will and Jonny's faces at this moment :) :)

I'm agreed this word of Chris : Thank you for giving us our job.

U2 singing your number one song at Glastonbury and thousands of people are singing together.

awesome.

Vertigo!!! That's what they will sing!!!

I favour "In The Name of Flood" or "Rainday, Floody Rainday".....................

This was absolutely beautiful. I'm seeing U2 in Toronto in just a couple of weeks, and I would LOVE it if they would do this there! Go Bono!

That would be awesome if they did it again. I am seeing U2 in one week. I'm excited :D

Es un hit de Coldplay con mi canción favorita de U2!!!

AMÉ ESA COMBINACION! GRACIAS U2!!! ESPERO COLDPLAY HAGA LO MISMO!

It's one of Coldplay biggets hits •Yellow• with my favorite U2's song •Moment Of Surrender•

I LOVED THAT COMBINATION! THANKS U2! I HOPE COLDPLAY DOES THE SAME!

Coldplay did not make a cover or spoken. I imagine they have mentioned many times before U2.
