has anyone heard any rumors about RH playing at Lollapalooza?

A couple but I wouldn't count on it.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

yeah, i heard a few rumblings about maybe a private show off on another stage somewhere in the park, but its prob not true, sighhhh

So yesterday at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (Movement), I saw some guy walking around wearing a Radiohead t-shirt. I said to him, "hey you're here to see Fly Lo, aren't you." He looked at me a bit perplexed and replied, "yeah, how'd you know that?!"

:| Duh.

On another note, I'm getting really excited for the From the Basement performance, even though it's over a month away.

Do they televise the From The Basement performance? I'd rather not resort to youtube.

Anyone else disappointed by the tiny pieces of artwork they advertised? I dunno why but I kind of expected something a little more significant than what it turned out to be, and I was especially looking forward to it since the album itself was a bit of a let down for me. I thought the artwork would be something interesting... but no. I don't even know what to do with it.

At least the vinyl record itself looks pretty awesome, as well as the newspaper.

*raises hand*

I don't know what to do with mine, either. It's probably just going to sit there in the box forever :\

I love the look of the newspaper but haven't read it yet, I'm saving it for my after-exams treat

I think I might stick it in my gerbil's cage, he loves chewing on cardboard and I have no real use for it, haha.

I haven't read mine either yet. I actually just opened the package yesterday, not quite sure when it arrived because I was gone for two and a half weeks.

... I wouldn't go quite that far.

Be warned one of the pictures of Thom might freak you out. In one of them he nearly looks possessed. I don't think it was intentional, that's just how it turned out.

Putting aside Coldplay for a bit...

Weezer covers Paranoid Android

Depending on how you feel about Weezer and Radiohead, this is either the best thing in the world or nails on a chalkboard.

His voice :/..

His Voice doesn't match, he can't reach the higher notes, the guitarist was okay: he missed some notes and clearly couldn't went as mental as jonny, bassist did a good job.... I didn't like it at all eventhough i understand it's a really hard song.

Sorry for my shitty writing up but I'm on mobile.

i like it, not amazed by it but is enjoyable.

on the other hand, is less than a month till From the Basement is released (July 1st right?)

Eh, don't care tbf.

I'd only look forward to see the Codex performance and Lotus Flower.

I assure you'll fell in love with the new album when you listen to it live.

Wanna bet? In fact their electronic-oriented tracks are usually the ones that sound the best live.

i'm dying to watching this Basement gig! i watched the in rainbows one just the other night for like the 50th time and it was amazing.

TKOL didn't sit too well with me so i'm even more curious to see how it sounds without all the studio trickery. when i first heard radiohead's kid a/amnesiac era stuff i was far from impressed but after watching a lot of it performed on stage i realised just how brilliant it all is.

damn you beat me to it.

I really need to see Bloom being played live

Not arguing that, I just don't feel excited about listening to Separator and Give Up The Ghost.

Separator is one of my favourites! Can't wait to hear them all live though, should be interesting.

I think their most brilliant performances ever are from the Kid A/Amnesiac era. The Basement and Glastonbury 97 are in another league as well.

I love Separator as well as give up the ghost, except that just like you I don't fell excited at all about Give up the ghost. Separator will be interesting I'm sure (yoda talking ftw)
