  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

oh wow! you've seen them a lot of times and also over the years, so lucky!

So what songs have been highlights to see from all of those shows?

I seen so many great ones. When they opened for REM The Bends had just come out so it was really great to see them so early in their career. And since I have seen them over all their records, well songs that get rarely played now, were played all the time then. Exit Music, Lucky, Just, The Tourist, Talk Show Host. I just love those songs. And back then I could actually get all those in a single show!

I could post my set lists and make you drool. :p

This was also a setlist from the other nights show

29 songs for that show?!? Dang.

BTW, what do you think the "*" means next to certain songs?

The stuff on the right must have been stuff sound checked. The stuff on the left was the played live list. Maybe songs with * were songs that could be swapped out with stuff on the right side list.

Maybe songs with * were songs that could be swapped out with stuff on the right side list.
True... although all the other setlists had "*" next to plenty songs and those were the final setlists.

When I saw "Full Stop", all I could think of was "I'd rather be a comma". :| Argh.

hahaha!

I'm hoping that Full Stop is Wake Me (Before they Come). Afterall Colin did mention that that song was called Rooftops or something sounding like that.

Original Nude with the organ not nearly a good as guitar based Nude. So much improved over 12 years.
I don't think I'll be able to make it to any other shows because of other stuff I have going on.

First time I saw them they were REM's opening act. That was maybe in 1995.

March 1998 Houston and Dallas

June 2001 Houston

Oct 2003 Houston and New Orleans

May 2008 Houston and Dallas

OMG they are showing the LCD movie at SXSW. Damnit I wanna see it sooooooooooo bad!

I know!!!! heard they were dancing in the aisles i cannot wait to see it. the rolling stone review was great, they said the it should play at the imax theatre and remove the seats and put in a dance floor!

yes please!! it will be like Rocky Horror and we can dress up in costumes and black and white and dance :P

Hey I really liked that version :disappointed:

Though the timing and stuff of the studio version is obviously way better. But you know.

My thing is worse. :disappointed:

Another example: I've been calling the song "Pumped Up Kids" and I can't believe how long it took me to see it's actually "Kicks".

I swear I'm not retarded. It doesn't happen to me that often, like one word per year maybe. :P

Same here, man, same here. I talked about that song today.

OK Computer bland? :blank: I haven't seen so many different emotions put in songs until I first listened to this album.

It was too bland and normal for me.

Emphasis on the past tense.

I said that now understand why it's hailed as one of the best albums of the '90s.

I explored their more recent work first, and worked backwards.

In Rainbows is still my favorite album, followed by Kid A, OK Comp and then a combination of HTTT and that album that starts with A. :disappointed:

Heh, you're like the opposite of me. I'm starting at The Bends and working forwards :P Right now OK Computer is one of my favourite albums ever :dazzled: I love every song on it (except Fitter Happier... that one just confuses me). I also love Subterranean Homesick Alien, its one of my favourites along with Let Down, Airbag and Lucky :nice:

I tried listening to In Rainbows earlier, but I think I'm too much of a Radiohead n00b to understand it :disappointed: I might try Kid A seeing as that seems to be high on most people's lists.

In Rainbows is their most approachable album, so to speak. And it's perfect. But the lyrics are more abstract.

Fitter Happier is not a real song. :P And...

I think it's lovely.. Except maybe Electioneering.

That song is so anti-Radiohead. It's like a joke - LULZ LOOK AT US WE'RE GUNZ N ROZES. I like it tho.

Hey I like Electioneering :disappointed:

I like it too. I just never want to listen to it.
