stay in the shadows, which would kibosh my idea of having massive spot prizes on the forums........

I'd stay in the shadows too, but when my friends realize I'd hire Coldplay and Arcade Fire to play on my birthday party I think they'd suspect a bit :wacky:

Underwraps...dude, in the states a guy from Florida won the lottery, he was found dead under fresh concert in a driveway

There goes my idea of you sitting on the table sat next to some guy from Camalot giving you a massive cheque in front of tv cameras :P

I would tell some people about it

Stay in the shadows, then I'd travel all around the world meeting my friends and build myself a TARDIS :wacky:

I would be also be sneaky and take out an injunction to prevent the media reporting that I had won the lottery ;)

I wonder, how anyone could keep the information hidden from the public? :laugh3: I'd just give most of it away to people in need here, there, everywhere, buy em all a beer, and maybe keep a few quid for a rainy day. Who would want to be king anyway?

In the UK you have the option of having a press conference where some man hands you a cheque in front of TV cameras & the associated Press or keeping anonymous (ie no press conference).

And few more! :) And I'd travel a lot so people would realize Ive got some new money!

Keep it secret except from family and close friends, then travel across the world seeing stalking Muse.

>> Wow, much more civilized than here, although I don't pay attention to the lottery winners and such... don't know if they're given such options.

But wouldn't the bank teller be suspicious if you go to the bank to deposit it?:laugh3:

Yes, they have the same option here.

I really do not understand why people choose to reveal it in public like that. They are only setting themselves up for trouble, people will be crawling out of the woodwork "hey old pal, remember me, hey can you give me just a little money?" No thanks. I would tell a very few key people, but that's it. And I wouldn't go making it obvious, although since I'd travel the world I suppose people might get suspicious after awhile.

That house in London would also be a clue

I'd only mention it to a few friends and family members but I guess people would get suspicious.

No way,if you did,you would get mugged/have a shitload of people asking you for cash.

oh ya think? :awesome:

duh, who wanted to go public about it? unless you're a retard and generous, sure. let the world know.

*GASP*

In le Shadows, the money is all mine.

I would probably use it to help me.. do..stuff... progress in what I want to do as a career.

And save for many festivals.

WITH ARCADE FIRE :dazzled:

166 million pounds sterling, which works out to approximately 265 million dollars US, so that would be plenty enough for maybe a trip into space! :sunny: (Just sayin', there's more than lap dances and private concerts).

OK, maybe those are important too. :P

Maybe I could afford the local gentleman's club!?:toff::wacko:

i think a trip into space cost around 12000€, on my ol' books of travel agency they expected by this time to have them for 6000€ a weekend i think :P

and about the question i'd keep it in shadow, give some to my family, donate to charity -as for instace help rebuilt the city of my mom which suffered a big earthquake few moths ago, or associations to help people with disabilities-, run some business related with culture and nature and travel the world for festivals for a year or two.

but if i'd have a job i'll surely keep it, must get boring if not, that's why instead i'd run some business to keep busy.
