14. Sex & Violence (Bonus)

15. Moving To Mars (Bonus)

That's my guess to this date...

If any of the songs we've heard are to not make the album, I hope the most that it will be UATW. Only one I still havn't warmed to :( and I've even grown fond of ETIAW.

Q. How much longer do we have to wait for the track listing? I'm getting impatient.

Also, I own the first ever copy of the official Coldplay fanzine. Do you thing it's worth anything?

The Oracle replies:

Do you know, I honestly can't remember if the tracklisting of ANY album was announced before a release or if it just appeared on the day of...

The first Coldplaying fanzine won't fetch a lot of money. Even though it was an official entity, it's not a very sought after collectible. It wasn't a glossy fan club periodical and the band didn't have much input.

They didn't really contribute as they left it in the capable hands of a group of fans that did a sterling job of producing it.

So. We are going to get the tracklist October 24th the day the album releases. It's official. It's from the Oracle herself.

^^ Nah, as long as she doesn't literally say "they won't announce the tracklisting before the album release," there's still hope. ;)

1. Mylo Xyloto (intro to story, instrumental)

2. Hurts Like Heaven

3. Charlie Brown

4. Princess of China

5. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

6. Up in Flames

7. Us Against the World

8. U.F.O. (I believe this is instrumental, nothing more)

9. Paradise

10. Major Minus

11. Great Expectations

12. A Hopeful Transmission (short weird song that repeats lyrics)

13. Tomorrow/Alien Radio (fades out)

Just a shot... I am sure I forgot a song but what we have to remember is when you look at any "concept" album that tells a story in a linear fashion (see "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots", "Dark Side of the Moon", etc.), there almost certainly one or two instrumentals that fall between that aide in the narrative. With that as my guide, I believe two of the songs on the record (at least) will be sprinkled in to help in the overall scheme (think "the Great Gig in the Sky"). Also, with Eno involved on some level and Coldplay with Viva La Vida starting as an instrumental, it's almost a given. Anyone else agree or disagree?

This Tracklist layout is Brillant!!Only change id make is by replacing Great Expectations with CarKids simply because I pre-fare the title!!

Definately agree with having 1 or 2 instrumental tracks on the Album -

possibly UFO and AlienRadio if they make it!!

Hm, I've changed my mind too.

1. Mylo Xyloto

2. A Hopeful Transmission

3. Paradise

4. Charlie Brown

5. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

6. Princess of China

7. Major Minus

8. Us Against the World

9. Up in Flames

10. U.F.O.

11. Up With the Birds

with possible additions of Tomorrow, Great Expectations (I think one of these two are instrumentals). HLH, MTM and DLIBYH might be left off the album I think.

1. MX

2. Hurt Like Heaven

3. A Hopeful Transmission

4. Charlie Brown

5. Princess of China

6. Us Against the World

7. Major Minus

8. UFO

9. Up In Flames

10. Up With The Birds

11. Any other unknown song

12. '' ''

13. '' ''

I pray that ETIAW and Paradise don't make it, don't want to buy them again! Major Minus fits in VERY well with the Mylo Xyloto theme so I don't mind if that makes it to be honest.

1. MX

2. Hurts Like Heaven

3. Princess Of China

4. Charlie Brown

5. A Hopeful Transmission

6. Car Kids

7. Great Expectations

8. Major Minus (A different version than the ETIAW EP)

9. Us Against The World

10. Up In Flames

11. Up With The Birds

12. Paradise

13. Tomorrow/Alien Radio

Singles marked in Bold

B-sides:

Sex Violence

UFO

[insert 1-2 songs we don't know even exist yet]

6. Princess Of China

7. Us Against The World

8. Charlie Brown

9. Streets Are Calling

10. Up In Flames

11. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

12. A Hopeful Transmission

Although I reckon we'll end up with only 10 or 11 tracks (in which case, I'd remove ETIAW first and then UWTB)...

Look at me, acting like I know what I'm talking about

1. MX / Hurts Like Heaven

2. Major Minus

3. Up With The Birds

4. Paradise

5. Tomorrow

6. Princess Of China

7. Us Against The World

8. Charlie Brown

9. Streets Are Calling

Both this one and Spray Can Soul's tracklist are right on point... but I am specualting as well! I do think there are songs not yet registered with either BMI and/or ASCAP that will make the cut—they can always register them at a later date (at least before it's released). I don't know where "Streets are Calling" came from, but that one snuck in there and is either a fabricated song title or a last minute entry.

Iam wondering how safe (maybe in %) the new songs we heard at the festivals are to be included on Mylo Xyloto  so far, iam not sure about any song, maybe except CB and ETIAW...

UATW and MM will be definitely there. I'm also sure of Princess of China.

Hurts Like Heaven seems to be unclear, but I still think it will be there.

Another damn thread about the tracklist?

OMG THIS. Aren't you people fed up with this?

I've changed my mind. i don't have a dream tracklist anymore. Here are just all the songs we know about so far:

"A Hopeful Transmission"

"Car Kids"

"Cartoon Heart"

"Charlie Brown"

"Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall"

"Great Expectations"

"Hurts Like Heaven"

"Major Minus"

"Mylo Xyloto"

"Paradise"

"Princess Of China"

"Rex"

"Sex And Violence"

"Tomorrow"

"U.F.O."

"Under 1 Roof"

"Us Against The World"

"Up In Flames"

"Up With The Birds"

"Voodoo"

20 songs that we know about. Now we just have to rely on Coldplay's process of eliminating songs (which I believe that they have completed).

I just heard "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and here is my honest opinion:

It's an anthem - no doubt. It's catchy, fun, poppy and light. It's epic. It's a great video. And that is both good and bad. I think this song was written for a number of reasons. For one, Coldplay wanted to write a summer anthem. Secondly, Coldplay wants to not be known as a sappy band who write depressing songs. Thirdly, Coldplay wants to write a song that transcends languages and countries. And it works. The only problem is that they get in their own way sometimes.

First off, maybe I'm off base, but the one thing I don't like is how the title gets in the way of the song. I guess it's too happy to be titled "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" for me. Also, it feels like they forced the title into the song at the end. It seems to stick out like a sore thumb for me towards the end, and I don't know why. The formula works in theory but it's a poppy song with a ballad title. It reminds me, in a weird way, of when I heard "Jump" by Van Halen as a kid (I know, a stretch). I liked it, but it was such a leap (pardon the pun) that it never was a song I disliked - but it also never was one I really LOVED. And at least "Jump" was appropraitely titled. I feel like Chris Martin wanted to name a song "ETIAW" and found a place to sneak it in. Am I offbase here?

My guess is that they change the Painting on their Clothes/Instruments.

It wasnt sure which Songs they gonna put on the Album so they painted everything on it.

Between August and September the Album got finished and when the new Fastivals begin at the 16th Septemeber they gonna show us a different Painting on the Instruments with the Songs which made it on the Album.

Maybe they gonna play even more Songs by then like "Paradise".

Edit:

Couldnt agree more to your post John.

p.s. It's not like I just heard the song... but it's the first time I really listened to the song and thought about why it doesn't resonate with me as much. But I bet it makes the album.

You can edit your Post John. :laugh3:

Why do people not understand that SaV isn't credited to all members of the band. Therefore it CAN NOT be a song.
