July 27, 201114 yr Seriously, a lot of those titles have been mentioned only once, some of them a long time ago. You can keep guessing for fun of course, but really, the real thing will be very different anyway. Golden Arrow, Car Kids, ... will possibly just be the new Left Right Left, etc. And why are people saying they want to hear Car Kids so desperately? We don't know anything except the title, who knows if it's not that good... Its because it is just such a great title and I desparately want to see how they done the song. I know you could say this about every song but this one is just different for me
July 27, 201114 yr Mylo Xyloto could be a whole song based off the clip we hear of MX before Hurts like Heaven I'm pretty sure I read that they have something like 50 songs that are in some form of development so most of this album could be songs they haven't even hinted at yet. As long as it includes Charlie Brown and Hurts Like Heaven i'll be a happy camper. Good point, I always thought that 40 seconds was a bit short for an album opener :D
July 27, 201114 yr Here is my ever changing tracklist guess: 1. Mylo Xyloto 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. UFO 4. Car Kids/Rex 5. Up With The Birds/Alien Radio 6. Golden Arrow 7. Charlie Brown 8. Princess Of China 9. Us Against The World 10. DLIBYH (I wish we knew what this was called!!!!) What do you all think?
July 27, 201114 yr Here is my ever changing tracklist guess: 1. Mylo Xyloto 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. UFO 4. Car Kids/Rex 5. Up With The Birds/Alien Radio 6. Golden Arrow 7. Charlie Brown 8. Princess Of China 9. Us Against The World 10. DLIBYH (I wish we knew what this was called!!!!) What do you all think? I think there will be at least a couple more tracks and hopefully they stop combining two songs into one track. Reign of Love deserved it's own spot.
July 27, 201114 yr I think there will be at least a couple more tracks and hopefully they stop combining two songs into one track. Reign of Love deserved it's own spot. Yeah I hoped that but Guy & Will said on Radio 6 Extra there would be 10-11
July 27, 201114 yr Didnt the Oracle or someone say that MX is gonna be tired into Hurts like Heaven rather then being just a quicky song?
July 27, 201114 yr In no particular order, I'd go for something like this: - Mylo Xyloto Hurts Like Heaven Major Minus Moving To Mars Charlie Brown Great Expectations A Hopeful Transmission Paradise Princess Of China Tomorrow U.F.O Us Against The World
July 27, 201114 yr My shot at it: 1 Mylo Xyloto/Hurts Like Heaven 2 Alien Radio 3 DLIBYH 4 U.F.O. 5 Charlie Brown 6 Princess of China/Aiko 7 Us Against the World 8 Golden Arrow 9 Up With the Birds 10 ETIAW
July 27, 201114 yr Well X&Y had 13 tracks, and Viva La Vida had 13 tracks if you include hidden tracks, so HOPEFULLY they keep this up, even if it is in hidden tracks
July 27, 201114 yr Speaking about Hidden Tracks. You guys think they will include them? At least 1 i bet.
July 27, 201114 yr hey guys, long time lurker, very infrequent poster here. i did some snooping around on the ASCAP database, and i thought i'd compile a list of songs, broken down and organized for you guys. a lot of this may be fairly repetitive from what we've already seen, but i'm just trying to be helpful!! CONFIRMED (MENTIONED/PERFORMED/RELEASED BY THE BAND DURING THE PRE-LP5 ERA) SONGS THAT HAVE BEEN REGISTERED Charlie Brown Hurts Like Heaven Major Minus Moving to Mars Mylo Xyloto (Assuming it is in fact MX, which is why it's on this list) Princess of China --------- now, i know this is clearly missing a few songs (most notably ETIAW), but here's why. ALL of those songs have the writers listed as: BERRYMAN GUY RUPERT BUCKLAND JONATHAN MARK CHAMPION WILLIAM ENO BRIAN PETER GEORGE MARTIN CHRISTOPHER ANTHONY JOH this explains the reason behind ETIAW with its sample and UWTB not showing up on the main list, so we'll ignore those for now. let's look at other songs with those five writers? (i know some of these have been mentioned on the forum, others havent to my best knowledge). -------------- OTHER SONGS REGISTERED WITH THE SAME FIVE WRITERS (MARTIN, BERRYMAN, BUCKLAND, CHAMPION, ENO) A Hopeful Transmission Great Expectations Paradise Tomorrow U.F.O. -------------- finally, in my search i noticed that there're a couple of songs registered under the pair of Chris Martin and Jon Hopkins, which is listed as: HOPKINS JONATHAN JULIAN MARTIN CHRISTOPHER ANTHONY JOH i don't know if these have been recorded by jon hopkins or if its old news, but i figured i'd go ahead and list them here anyway, cause i recognized the name of the second song. SONGS WRITTEN BY CHRIS MARTIN AND JON HOPKINS Christmas in New York Sex and Violence so there's my contribution to the hunt for LP5, hope it helps, and i'm sorry if i've wasted your time!
July 27, 201114 yr I don't think we'll get THAT many, but I do like the whole song/song thing. I don't think that Up With The Birds or Golden Arrow will be songs though, only mentioned in songs.
July 27, 201114 yr So the ones with the five writers...well that's 11 songs. Plus Up With the Birds...so if you take out 1 or 2 of those, that could be the album :O
July 27, 201114 yr Wait UFO and Great Expectations have been registered? That surely means they'll be album tracks or b-sides right?
July 27, 201114 yr Here's something to do while we wait for the track listing announcement. http://www.donothingfor2minutes.com/
July 27, 201114 yr Here's something to do while we wait for the track listing announcement. http://www.donothingfor2minutes.com/ :D I think all Coldplayers just took a 2 minute break from the forum.
July 27, 201114 yr :D I think all Coldplayers just took a 2 minute break from the forum. As it should be :)
July 27, 201114 yr All shortforms like UFO, REX etc will be Songs. And the Stuff with the paintings like Golden Arrow will be Songs as well. The Lyrics are easy to separate.
