Brent Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 If "A Hopeful Transmission" is indeed a song title, it sounds like an opening track. I really think that Mylo Xyloto is a real track and not just an opening cadence. Just for some reason "A Hopeful Transmission" sounds like "Life in Technicolor" to me. It kind of sets the mood and theming for the album. Plus, Brian Eno loves doing that kind of thing, and Coldplay are trying to tie their albums up to become more concise and complete works. I mean, you can't tell what's the album going to be like just because you know the songs' titles. It's silly.
