What I Believe To Be Included On LP5

Featured Replies

Hey everyone! This is my first thread on Coldplaying.com and I'm glad to be a part of this awesome community dedicated to all things Coldplay. This is a list of songs (in no specific order) of what I believe to possibly be included on LP5. I'm not sure about an album title but Mylo Xyloto looks promising.

MX (Could be a possible intro, Example: Life In Technicolor)

Hurts Like Heaven

Charlie Brown

Major Minus

Moving To Mars

Us Against the World

Princess of China

Mylo Xyloto (Like every other Coldplay record, they usually have an album-titled track so this probably would be included on LP5.)

Up With the Birds

Don Quixote/Spanish Rain

Wedding Bells

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

Again, this what I BELIEVE to POSSIBLY be included on LP5 but the list is without a doubt incorrect. I really wanted Famous Old Painters to be included, but it's too bad that song wasn't considered for the new record. Tell me what you think of the list? ;)

Welcome along, friend. I'm new too, how you finding the forum?

I'd expect parts of Spanish Rain to be on the record, but not in its old state. The "Ole ole ole" section seemed a bit daft to me, but it was a decent track. It was written before Will said they scrapped the lot, too.

Famous Old Painters is probably here and there in the new material. Same with Leftrightleftrightleft.

We'll probably find MX and Mylo Xyloto to be the same song. Other than that, I don't want to Moving to Mars on the new record particulary - decent b-side but everything on aRoBttH and VlVoDaAHF is easily better than it. And they're going for a masterpiece remember...

Hurts Like Heaven

Princess of china

Car Kids

Golden Arrow

Up with the Birds

Charlie Brown

UFO/Us against the world

Mylo Xyloto

Alien Radio

I'm finding the forum great! Spanish Rain would go great as like a hidden song or something of that nature. I think it written specifically for the Latin American Tour of 2010. I agree about Moving To Mars. It's to simple of a song to be added to this supposedly "vibrant" upcoming record. Here is my updated track list for LP5.

Hurts Like Heaven

Major Minus

I LOVE those

It's better than Princes of China... :embarrassed:

I'm not sure if it's a possibility of being on the record, but "Harbringers of Doom" is probably my favorite song title out of the bunch. It sounds like an epic.

3. Car Kids

4. Don't Let it Break Your Heart

5. Princess of China

Nothing's official yet. But with the info we do have at this point, I'd have to agree with this whole thing. Plus they said they wouldn't use any VlV era stuff so I think we can pretty much eliminate those song at the bottom. Still, the site does say Up against the world. I wonder what that means for us exactly.

Yeah its a strong possibility but I hope they dont include

any tracks from the ETIAW EP,because it means less new material for us!!

I don't really get how they would put these song titles on public websites. I mean, it's Coldplay. They 'always keep mystery'.

So I'm still expecting something we haven't heard of. And I don't care how ignorant that sounds :escaping:

I wonder how many songs will actually make the record.

^ According to Chris and Will (in the interview after Glastonbury) there will be 10-11--although I'm hoping for something more like 14-15

Or 10-11 on the album plus a few b-sides on the singles?

Love in a Lethal Dose is my favourite. Sounds dark, reminds me of Arctic Monkeys' Love Is A Laserquest.

Under One Roof is another title being thrown around. As for the mystery, I reckon it's pretty mysterious scrawling notes all over a piano and letting us work out what they all mean. Radiohead gave away lyrics to Amnesiac (2001) on Kid A (2000) and labelled it a portal to the future. That's mysterious too I'd say, despite giving fans an insight.
