Well, based off ETiaW I don't think it will match up, but going off Major Minus and Moving to Mars I would say that this album could be up there with Viva and ARoBttH

I'm not terribly impressed with Charlie Brown (ducks stones), but Hurts Like Heaven is alright and so is UAtW.

So . . . better than X&Y but not quite as good as Viva I guess :shrug:

The new stuff is definitely more guitar-heavy than their previous work. Jonny has had a lot of influence on all of the songs' structure I'd say. I think it's going to be wide variety of different songs with heavy guitar influence. Compare ETIAW to Hurts Like Heaven, they're completely different. Same with Charlie Brown and Major Minus. They don't sound alike at all. Princess Of China is the biggest change. I noticed though (with the HD version of PoC) that some of the effects I can hear resemble the effects of Major Minus. There's some semblance between the higher octave voice effects in Major Minus and the unorthodox chiming riff in PoC. They all somehow fit... I can't seem to put my finger on it but there's a weird thing that ties the songs together. I think -when the album comes out- we'll be able to see what substance brings these tracks together. As for right now, I'm starting to see how the graffiti theme and the music create a cohesive, seamless ambience.

Viva>X&Y=AROBTTH>Parachutes

Most Poeple will say: what Parachutes last?

I say: Yes.

Because i think Coldplay went better and better and Viva actually hit my Taste of Music.

The most of my Favourite songs are from Viva and the EP.

I hope LP5 will do the same.

All three of those songs are great not 'alright'. :P Lyrically and musically.

ARoBttH = Viva > Parachutes = X&Y

And so far LP5 is somewhere there in the middle

I would definitely have to agree with this.

It will be up there with Viva and A Rush ob Blood to the Head - definitely. I'm sure. Maybe its even better...

I'm thinking/really hoping the same.
