August 14, 201114 yr A friend of a friend showed me that - wink, wink! Don't tell anyone where you saw this!
August 15, 201114 yr A friend of a friend showed me that - wink, wink! Don't tell anyone where you saw this! . . . . wait--what?! :stunned: Now that I'm really looking at your tracklisting, it looks more than fairly authentic. Now I'm curious, dangit :bomb: Curse you and your authentic-looking tracklist! :P
August 15, 201114 yr Ok, my time to guess. It'll start only with Chris's voice narrating something (a story, perhaps) with an echoey effect. Then, a very subtle guitar comes in. Chris starts to narrate the story with a bit of melody, half-speaking and half-singing. The guitar begins to grow, and at some point Chris sings "Ohhhhh" in a falsetto and then bass, drums and a little bit of synth come in, with a very space-filling sound like LiT but a somewhat dark theme. Chorus comes in and afterwards some more verses before all the instruments stop and only Chris continues to talk (much like the piano solo in Clocks). Then, they all come back again, there is a chorus, a guitar solo, the chorus again, and they start repeating a verse with the instruments stopping one by one: synth, guitar, drums and bass. In the end, Chris repeats two more times this verse acapella and the song ends. Now come on, wouldn't that be AWESOME??? If that happens, it will be like 7 min, but it will anyway be a massive hit
August 15, 201114 yr When I heard "bold anthem" I thought of something in the mold of 'Dream On' or 'Stairway to Heaven'. Start off slow and melodic and gradually rise to sonic thunder.
August 15, 201114 yr Haha... to be honest when I hear 'bold' and 'Coldplay' in the same sentence I get really excited... because that's, like, the first time I've heard those two words said together in a sentence. On a scale of one to awesome, it's either going to be a 0 or an awesome!
August 15, 201114 yr What ever it might be, we're going to get to hear it live with the I heart radio concert and the one in Austin Texas! :D
August 15, 201114 yr ^ What did you think of Violet Hill, then? :P hahaha i assume you mean the 5 hour long ambient intro! I for one believe that violet hill without the intro would not be violet hill AT ALL. what an amazing choice for a single! Not a lot of bands have experimental stuff like that as a single. Singles are usually kind of....predictable. Violet Hill was different! i believe PARADISE will set the whole mood of MX
August 15, 201114 yr Just noticed that The Duke and Charlie Brown both lives within an hour from me! Im in Cincinnati. Do you guys feel like you are the only Coldplay fan in your town?
August 15, 201114 yr A few relevant and irrelavant thoughts. First of all, 09/12 is a local mid-autumn festival - it says the moon would be the brightest and biggest for the whole year - it is a typical family/beloved reunion day. The moon symbolizes as Complete/Get Together, and there is a long tradition to put moon image into love story, quite emotionally. SO, it might create some special effects. Paradise, it is, in wish or imagination, but not always on earth. Given all the hints from the latest articles, Chris indicated 'a happy ending if it happens in a right sequence', then this song shall be a blessing one - in an immortal sense, maybe. It reminds a saying, the happy story says"...but, I love you." while the sad one goes:"I love you. But..." yes, the sequence is sensitive and important. We've paid a lot to know which sequence is right to be happy in the end, haven't we? One thing kept still in Coldplay's music, no matter how melancholy and shattered, there is always hope/warmth. Maybe Paradise means such hopes/faiths, more everlasting than an earthy happy ending...don't know. But I love autumn a lot, the wind, the sky, everything. Seems a beautiful moment in coming...
August 15, 201114 yr Just found out "Princess of China" will probably not make the final cut... there are like 16 songs in contention.
August 15, 201114 yr ^ Phil tweeted that he's glad they can finally 'get those songs out there' and PoC was one of the songs he mentioned, so we're definitely going to get to hear it one way or another. :)
August 15, 201114 yr A friend of a friend showed me that - wink, wink! Don't tell anyone where you saw this! WTH?? You are just teasing...I am sure that is not the official track list :sneaky:
August 15, 201114 yr ^ Phil tweeted that he's glad they can finally 'get those songs out there' and PoC was one of the songs he mentioned, so we're definitely going to get to hear it one way or another. :) yehh the oracle said: If Phil tweeted them at this stage, they will be on the album / released. He wouldn't tweet song titles before a tracklisting had been settled on. It occurred to me that I haven't heard Up in Flames yet, so I better get in on the action! i dont think it will be on the album but i reckon it will be a b-side and she said released as well!
August 15, 201114 yr with the picture... why would it be uploaded to a limousine parts website?? wat the hell? cmon, see for yourself. as of now we can consider it bullshit, i'll have a closer look on the pic again, but i'm sure the way the tracks are copyrighted is wrong... i mean they would never make the stars ** that big in that font, that looks awful
August 15, 201114 yr Just something I whipped up after seeing the tracklisting... enjoy (or hate):) Just sayin', I guess this is fake Major Minus' "U" from that image is different from Coldplay's "U"
August 15, 201114 yr Just sayin', this is fake Major Minus' "U" from that image is different from Coldplay's "U" The "A" are also different. This guy was just teasing and having fun but some people here will believe ANYTHING.
