Will Mylo Xyloto leak? ** EFFECTIVE 16-10 LINKS NOT PERMITTED ** (PART I)

Featured Replies

Justin Bieber himself has little or nothing to do with that. Sure, he's talented in a way, but the industry around him is making all the decisions and chooses the kind of music he should make in order for them to fill their pockets. And I don't think selling a lot of records for the sake of it (i.e. money-grabbing) is something that should be respected.

And yeah, you're right about Chris. He's polite, but he shouldn't idolise every artist that tops the charts just because they sell many records. There is no correlation between quality of music and commercial success. Chris doesn't know that. He thinks that both are actually the same thing. He's just too naive.

Well no, not the money-grabbing itself of course, but rather the fact that he's able to play the part well enough to convince hordes of screaming fangirls. In all probability, there are other (read: more mature) people making these decisions for him, but in the end he's still the one that has to play the part.

Exactly. I don't know if you saw my edit, but it does worry me that maybe he can't see the difference. All of these pop and hip-hop elements are going to take their toll eventually on Coldplay's quality of music--even if it's just Chris that's exposed to it.

Hopefully this is just a phase.

Add 47, and then what?

then the album is official available in japan :)

a little later we have it online everywhere"

Wait so Japan (Tokyo) is about 14 hours ahead of my time (Central U.S. Time), and so if someone there gets the album at midnight, and lets suppose they start uploading it and it gets done by 1 hour after it's release, so 1 am their time, which will be 11 am on a Tuesday in the Central time zone, doesn't this mean the album will be spreading online for everyone early Tuesday morning?

I don't get how it's not leaked already. If the albums are in stores in 3 days, they are supposed to have it already. Someone will steal one soon, and leak it.

AND:

for sure it's going to leak when it's released..and for those who are saying that the new kelly clarkson album is/was available in japan (too early cause there was a itunes mistake) and it haven't leaked yet i can tell you: the record was available but when you tried to buy it it wasn't working

mylo xyloto is coming in 1 Days, 23 Hours and 15 Minutes

Some people were actually able to buy it at first, but it was quickly removed. The samples remain.

Totally agreed.

But I don't think it's a phase. He's always been like this. The difference is that during the first few years of Coldplay this didn't affect the quality/style of their music. Now it does. And I think this is the direction they will continue to follow. :(

@ The people talking about the Japan release: Keep in mind that the stores won't be opened at midnight, or will they?

I should really study now, by the way. Someone ban me already.

While this sounds very logical, there's never been a legitimate study done showing the relationship between quality and commercial success, within the context of consumer preferences...which I assume is what we are talking about.

But at least back then he idolized good artists like U2 and Radiohead

Le sigh. Will, would you kindly rap Chris on the head for me?
