If they mixed together their influences from Parachutes thru Viva to make one album, I think they could really hit on something great.

 

You know, we might get that mixed album somewhere this week.

 

I've just been catching up on the last couple of pages and I agree with people saying Chris is taking inspiration from the wrong people these days, but come on, they are not the only ones he admires. He is still inspired by Radiohead and U2, he has mentioned them a few times (especially Radiohead) in recent interviews.

Actually, I bet he is still more inspired by them than by today's big pop stars.

 

And let me add that Lady Gaga and whoever, are talented people. They made some good songs.

Justin Bieber has not made such good songs (he is pretty talented though), but I really don't think Chris is actually inspired by him. He just respects him as an er, artist. :P

 

And we should not forget that there's three (or four) other band members. I think they have decent musical taste. ;)
