Gotta say I'm really really looking forward to MX now, at first when I heard HLH, every teardrop AND paradise they were "meh" but now I'm even starting to like paradise, there's some really good stuff going on and hopefully the rest of the album will have even better songs :D Us Against The World is undoubtably my favourite of the songs we've heard to far, I still havent listened to POC or CB yet purely because I need more new coldplay on the album :P

That is not true. Especially Lady GaGa & Rihanna got BIG fanbases and they both don't care about just money. GaGa is putting most of her own private money she earns into her shows and rihanna released 6 record and 1 re-release in 6 years cause she loves to make music. And just to say: pop music is not always meaningless and trash! especially THIS new coldplay record is in my opinion more mainstream then ever

 

Yeah, say what you may, that can't be called a devoted fanship, as big as you say it is. I ground my statement on my friend's example. She likes the kind of music Rihanna makes, but she actually doesn't even have a favourite song by her. She never listens to the songs that got old and removes them from her ipod or whatever when something new pops up. And most of Rihanna's fans act likewise.

And no, heaven forbid that they should be making music because of the money. Of course Gaga and the rest of them would at least try to pretend it is not like that. Enough said.

Well (and I know this has been said before) the guys have always said that they don't want to make the same record twice.

 

Although I do wish that, instead of making their horizons too broad and encompassing pop and hip-hop, that they would blend together some of the elements that they already had. If they mixed together their influences from Parachutes thru Viva to make one album, I think they could really hit on something great.

 

If you read the second part of my post carefully, you will see that I didn't mention I want them to repeat themselves, nor did I even try to imply that.

Well no, I haven't, but I've heard Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, etc. and both of those had some great riffs. :dozey:

 

And the guys have said several times that this will be a guitar-driven album, so I think it's pretty safe to say that we'll be getting some nice riffs ;)

All of their comments are: "jajajajajaj" and something like that.
