October 24, 201114 yr First off I would like to thank Christa for giving me the best birthday present eva! She got us the most awesome VIP passes. Not regular VIP, but SUPERVIP! :laugh3: SuperJonnysideVIP! We went checking things out the night before and when we got back to the hotel and looked at Christa's email, we realized we had different passes than everyone else. That morning we got the run around from security people who kept telling us to go to the wrong place. :angry: Finally we found where we needed to be and had to wait for the security dude to show up to work because as Christa put it, "these passes are for Normal people, not crazy people like us that show up 2 hours before the email says to be there". :rolleyes: Security man escorts us into this little pin on the side of the stage right in front of Jonny's keyboard and next to Miller's sound booth. :D There is us, a 1 inch wide fence and Miller's work station. Set list sitting on top so we could see what they planned to play. I got to talk with Miller, whom I encouraged to write us a book. Bash, who did not look happy to be up at 5am. :lol: Talked with Matt about his book and about the guitar I bought. He said he missed it. awwwww. He was so nice. Franksie came out and said Hi and shook my hand. Talked quite a while to Dan Green. Asked him when they planned on touring in the US, He said sometime next year but didn't know when. Said all he knows is he was going home that evening. :P He asked what I thought of the record. I said I haven't heard it yet. I don't do leaks. He laughed....you don't do leaks! OK. Dan said Chris wouldn't be out for soundcheck. And we would have an awesome view, but terrible sound because we were behind the speakers. OK so you all know what got played so I'll tell about some of the other stuff I thought was interesting. Miller's booth has this cute little TV screen that is a video feed from a camera aimed on Will. It's the Will cam. Christa was hypnotized by it. :P He has an extra stool in case Chrissy humps his to death. :lol: After the show was over I asked if I could have his Today Show pass since we didn't get the ones the fans got. He said he couldn't give me his because it gets you into Coldplay's dressing room................. and that would be a problem how? :sneaky: But he gave me his set list as a second choice. Not the same dude...I'm just sayin'. :( There is a thread asking if Jonny is really playing the keyboards during the show. He is. Miller didn't touch anything while Jonny was playing. They had a setlist for the soundcheck. I guess that's what it was. I was on Miller's station and a copy was taped to Jonny's monitor. This is Jonny's setlist from the show , which Matt was nice enough to give to me. I asked for a guitar pick and he gave me 2 from Jonny's mic stand and said "these are just the boring ones he plays with, *reaches into his pocket and pulls out some COLDPLAY/MX picks* and these are some fancy ones we had made" and gives me 2 of those. I :heart: Matt I took so many pics. I will post my favs and the link to the others because there are so many. The girls next to us kept yelling "Chris" so when Jonny went to change out his guitar with Matt I yelled "JONNY" really loud and he gave the biggest smile. :blush: Guy actually smiling! Chris was spray painting on the floor between songs! :laugh3: Will in mid smash! October 24, 201114 yr These are amazing Angie, I still can't believe where we were, our real estate that day was beyond belief. We must have had some crazy Coldplay Karma that day with it being your bday and how we got to the Jonny side side pit, and yes, I had to stop myself from staring at the sound board and the Will Cam, holy crap I'm going see Coldplay!

October 25, 201114 yr I dl-ed the hdtv copy, the quality is :shocked2: amazing. It is also 3 gigs for only 27 mins. I should be able to get really good screen caps if anyone wants anything.

If you watch the videos Im the girl right in front with the black fleece on I will try to post a pic in a bit.

Also you can notice at the end of fix you when the band is leaving the stage....chris blow a kiss to his kids.....right after matt laurer says ..."for the better part of 40 mins now" right after he comes off the drum stage and right before they bow! Heart melts again!
