Aaah man. I'm not listening to the album until I've purchased it on the day of the UK release.

The wait from now and then is going to kill me. Especially when it gets released in Japan.

^ I know :uhoh:

I've decided that if I have a crappy day on the day of the Japan release then I'm going to listen to it. If not, I'm going to (try) to wait until the 24th.

It's going to be a loooooooong weekend. :uhoh:

I want it to be a long weekend. I have a tough test on Monday that I'd like to be put off :P

Does anyone actually know why it's released early in japan, with bonus stuff? It's to promote the CDs being bought locally, at a higher price instead of the people waiting for the imports which are actually cheaper.

So before you rage about a few days, remember, not only does this help it leak earlier, but also, they may have to pay around double what you do anyway.

This has been covered many times before. And no one is raging about a few days.

Nonetheless, thank you for the explanation.

^^ I don't mind that Japan gets it first--especially since we live in the Internet age. No matter where MX drops first, we'll get it in a matter of minutes.

Record companies could avoid leaks very easily if they wanted to, and it goes a little something like this-

Artists record album, mix album and put album on secure USB > Artists pass said USB to record company on the day of st digital release > Record company uploads and passes on to online distribution i.e iTunes, Amazon etc. > Consumers buy > Physical release is now put into distirbution factories and real fans of the music are more likely to purchase, whilst also wanting to purchase physical release even if they have to wait up to a month more.

the end result is that record labels don't have to worry about a leak before they've had a chance to make any money, alloweing consumers to preorder a digital release which alligns with a physical release is no longer relevant as they are losing millions of pounds. Sure there would be teething issues and whatnot, but we're moving faster and faster in this digital age and I think a pre-digital release date could benefit companies.

then again. I'm sure I've overlooked something, as there must be a reason labels are happy to lose their millions.................

** awaits being told what I've missed **

if I know their will be a physical release i don't pay money for a digital release. So I'm going to download the tracks (illegally) when they come out, and waits for the phyisical release. So It's still the same. Don't think this is the best solution.

:laugh3: that is so true. Its been fun waiting for MX to arrive. guess we will all just have to talk about how much we love it!

when do you think the next single will be released?

hmm...i'm thinking mid-November

I honestly don't think their will be another single. I don't understand singles after album's are released. It's just silly, now, b-sides i understand

I want it to be a long weekend. I have a tough test on Monday that I'd like to be put off :P

At least if you do bad in the test you can just cheer yourself up by listening to Mylo Xyloto :D

All of this goes actually pretty fast! Now that we're all back to work after spring break... The waiting for Paradise was really harder.

Only 10 days until Japan release!!:D:D
