October 25, 201114 yr I think it's about childhood or being a kid/adolescent or something like that. With the whole Chris's voice sped up and "all the boys, all the girls", and the fact that the song is called "Charlie Brown". That's my take on it.

To me, it seems like Charlie Brown finds our two characters meeting in the midst of a crazed city night, "running wild," and happily "glowing in the dark."

October 25, 201114 yr According to Coldplay and what I get out of it, this is what I see the "Meaning" being: A boy being set free from a world of constraint into a cartoon world with cartoon hearts and scarecrow dreams. He escapes the madness of the world for a world where he is luminous. Essentially it is all about escape.

He said he had his scooter stolen and it basically inspired the lyrics (I stole a key...). It's about what the youth get up when they are bored and what not.
