This announcement is more for the new people than for those of us who have done this several times before. We like to assess what our partner's tastes are before we go about making it. A lot of us go about this by looking at our partner's Last.fm pages. If you have one, share it. (Mine just happens to be in my sig, where it says "Last." Obviously.) If you don't have one, please at least leave a good solid list of genres and/or arists you like. It'll make your mixtape maker's job a lot easier.

Ok, I don't have last.fm, so here are some of my favourite artists/genres so that my mixtape maker has something to go by:

 

I like pretty much every genre except rap and new-age kinda stuff.

 

As for artists, I like Coldplay, Snow Patrol, The Postal Service, Foster the People, Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding, White Lies, Michael Buble, Muse, Switchfoot, Two Door Cinema Club, Taylor Swift, Regina Spektor, Adele, Tired Pony, The Killers, Stars, Howling Bells, Metric, Death Cab for Cutie...

I agree with that. I spend more time on doing this than choosing the songs :D I haven't count how many times I listened to that mixtape until I was satisfy with the order of the songs but I made it and it was cool to do it again for the last time this year :nice:

I know this may be short notice but is there anyway we can extend this to a couple of days or a week? with working 2 jobs and xmas this weekend I don't know how much time I'll have to make this.

I think my person has maybe already heard 5 tracks from my mixtape...
