Yellow_V
I got my seats thru Rogers and the thing i dont lile is i gptta keep the mms message (my ticket) until july!? I always buy my concert tickets through Rogers to avoid paying any service charges. You can just save the text message and even if you lose it somehow, all you need to do is text REPEAT to 4849 from the cellphone your tickets were originally sent to and it will re-send your tickets. I prefer this method over paper tickets. I got tickets in section 109, row 22! Actually lost these seats the first time because I was feeling brave and tried searching for floor seats, so I gave them up and for a good 3-4 minutes I wasn't finding any tickets at all then these came up again so I snatched them! I've sat in section 109 for a few concerts (or 118 on the other side) and they're pretty good seats so I'm content :) Can't wait!

Yellow_V
yeah i have section 109 row 22, they're pretty good right? i've had section 120 row 22 before and they were good, but the stage for that concert was in the middle Hey! I have the same section/row, what seats do you have if you don't mind? Awesome! I recently sat in this section but on the opposite side (118) so exactly the same basically, for the Watch The Throne show and they were pretty good seats. I would've liked to be a bit lower in the section to be at a better eye level with the stage but they were still great seats!

By 10:30 I think all of the Rogers tickets were gone. I went on StubHub and a few other scalper sites and I was just ticked off a the amount of tickets that were up there by 11am. I believe StubHub had 700+ for each night.
Suhayb217
Just a random thought, and I know I'm still being kind of bitter about this, but just *imagine* they were to have the show at the Rogers Centre, and with the concert being in the summer and all.... open roof, fireworks at the end of Every Teardrop.... Give me chills. Sigh. Note to self: got to accept reality. :\ As cool as that could be, the order of best venues in Toronto goes Amphitheatre> ACC > Rogers Centre
x_TheSkyCouldFall
My VIP package for the first show was paid with my mom's AMEX for my birthday. I have my own freakin' AMEX and would have gladly used that. Too late now. They will NOT allow an additional name added for will-call pick up so my mom has to go down there - almost impossible. I know its still like 7 months away, but this is a serious issue. AMEX Platinum Concierge specifically told me on the phone that the tickets could be purchased FOR someone else and they would simply add the name on the file. THIS IS BS. Ticketmaster told me they have never had so many requests for this type of thing (um, cause its almost XMAS and VIP Coldplay tkts are an amazing gift!?!) and the tour came back and said NO way. No added names and NO refunds. Honestly, super pissed. So if the credit cardholder lives in Halifax and bought tickets for their friend in Toronto and THEY are not there that day to pick up tickets, then the tickets can't be released and there will be LOTS of empty seats at the show...PRIME seats. Maybe these are the tickets that Roadie #42 goes around giving other people. :( I'm so not impressed. I was misled and I'm frustrated. I asked if they could change the payment method to my AMEX and they said no way. They say it was clearly shown on the website and people knew when they accepted terms of purchase. SO not the case. The packages were announced three seconds before they went on sale and being frantic to get whatever, I just clicked and got whatever I could. I'm kinda sad. If I can't get my mom to go downtown that day, that $555 is gone. I'm gonna need to make that happen. All depends on when will-call opens (which we won't know until a week before the show). I know the situation could be worse and I understand they are trying to keep scalping to a minimum, but this is not right. I'm glad I'm going to the second show, also VIP, but not cool. :( If I had bought regular seats, this wouldn't be a problem. Thanks for listening to my rant. Needed to get it out... Wow... That's absolutely terrible, and so unreasonable. Do you think there's anyway you could get in touch with anyone who you spoke to prior to purchasing those tickets? I would be furious... Assuming your mom can pick it up on that day, does she have to attend the concert or are you and your friend able to go to the concert without her having to be there? Where are your seats btw? We called AMEX again to give an earful. They SPONSORED the VIP packages, THEIR staff told me us we could change the name. Then Ticketmaster says no. They said they will do what they can. But I'm certain nothing will happen. Seats are VIP Tour Package, Row 12 seats 39 and 40. Oh and according to Ticketmaster she does not have to USE the tickets, just to get them from willcall, full ID must be shown.

tetamara
Cool :) Im row 11. Have you sat in 117 before? no, but I found a cool view of our vantage point on another thread on this forum ...coldplay's acc from 2008... http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v300/137/54/657154723/n657154723_708828_4239.jpg It's me and my 2 sisters ...all sitting separately but we're die-hards so I don't really care. One's in the same section row 14 the other on the opposite side section 110 row 8. We actually bought tickets on the day Coldplay had advertised as presale for North America: Dec 12 - in a panic and desperate we thought, why aren't they up yet? A friend had called ticketmaster at 10am on the 12th and they said "we're not selling them". We googled feverishly which led us to a site we thought was the acc. We thought we were buying tickets through the venue. The tickets were crazy expensive. It all didn't make any sense. But, like I said, we were in a panic. It ended up we bought them from one of "those" sites. We know now that they're the ones selling season ticket holders' seats at a premium. The "hot" tickets were for section 105, row 15. We didn't want to take a chance, and end up not going to the show if the "hot" tickets end up being illegitimate, so we also bought tickets on the ACTUAL presale date of the 14th from ticketmaster. Much happier with what we ended up with: 117. It's so wrong that these sites get away with this. We called the acc and they said it's unfortunate and they're aware that there are sites out there that have completely replicated their website but there is nothing they can do. We'll try to sell the tickets we originally got ($250 each including service fees and shipping) and if they turn out to be fake, we'll get our money back. Visa said we don't have a claim until it actually turns out to be fraudulent. :( In any case, making the best out of a crappy situation and going to the show regardless. LOVE me some COLDPLAY. It's just us against the world ;).

It's just us against the world ;). Wow!!! Thank you soooo much!!! :) That picture is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm so excited now! Thanks to you :) Wow you went through a lot! I was having the same problems on Dec 12th. I came across some sites where the prices were ridiculous! Like $400 to $700 each! Wow those were the tickets the site was selling??... Interesting. It's so unfair that all these different companies, sites, and scalpers get the advance on tickets!:( And the actual sale on Ticketmaster was kind of messed up too...it seemed that way anyway. I hope you're able to get your money back for those tickets. I was super grateful to come across 117's, and even more grateful to get 4 tickets together!! That pic just made my day lol, so thank you. And yeah!! We're going to the show:) even if it is just Us Against the world ;) (Love that lol) P.S. there were two catwalks at the acc?? I didn't think they used that stage setup in T.O. mamgirl
I was just reading through the Oracle and they pretty much confirm there will be an X stage: Q. Greetings from BC! I'm finally getting to go to a Coldplay concert in April and I'm so excited! I was wondering if they will be doing an acoustic part on the c-stage for this tour like they did before? Thanks so much! The Oracle replies: The C stage - now dubbed the X stage given its shape - is pretty much a permanent fixture these days so yes, I'd say it's pretty certain they will continue to have an acoustic set at the end of the runway to get closer to the crowd and have that more intimate moment. So that is pretty great news for those on the floor in the further back rows...they'll be closer to the X stage. I know there were some questions on this thread as to would they or wouldn't they. I was only able to get seats in row 10 of section 310, so I hope they are not too bad...
leahg
i don't understand this X stage thing. Is the stage set up different than on the ticket master website? is the stage going to be in the middle of the floor? i have row 30 on the floor. Does that mean that we are closer to the stage that I thought?
mamgirl
Yeah I don't think the TO set up on Ticketmaster is correct. If you look at this link http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/11004787E25FF3B3?artistid=806431&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60 it's another Canadian show, but with the X stage. xJNB94X
It must be legit. I would phone Ticketmaster though, just to verify that it's not a fake ticket. It's my first time at the ACC as well, so I have no idea lol. My best bet would be to call TM
