  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

^ Actually I don't really like Resistance that much, but then I'm one of the few that likes guiding light. I guess the let down came from expecting Origin of Symmetry 2. Stupid Muse forums.

MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection was certainly a good attempt at a new CE though!

hopefully Kate Hudson doesn't break Matt's heart and we don't get more songs like Neutron Star Collision

Oh, yeah, that's true. . .

No I hadn't! Thanks! :D

I think The Resistance is great.

Very different to Muse's previous stuff but MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection still shows Muse can still rock, whilst Exogensis is amazing and Undisclosed Desires are a new side of Muse which are still good.

I love Undisclosed Desires. . . it's odd, but it's so cool. :bomb:

Guiding Light was one of the biggest let downs, but I still thought it was good.

edit: Yeah that. ^

Guiding Light is boring. I like the solo and the opening drums though.

WORD. I can't forgive them for NSC mark II. (Deja Vu, I was on eljay talking about this this morning )

I liked The Resistance though. On first listen I was a bit 'meh' but it's definitely a grower. And when you see it live it just gains a new level of respect.

Matt needs to learn how to do solos on that keytar like Imogen Heap

Epic.

I actually liked The Resistance a lot! :) I like Muse's albums in general and they always make different stuff, just listen to Showbiz and then The Resistance, it's so different!! But both are awesome albums in my opinion :D

^ that too!

But I actually liked NSC. . .yes, it was VERY cheesy, but I still liked it a lot. :wacky:

i used to hate Resistance too but it really grew on me after the radio edit

and i have a love hate relationship with Guiding Light:p

they have become more classical as well as electronic now to make another Origin again

i understand their growth but don't get coldplay's musical growth at all:facepalm:

and i love unnatural and Mk ultra

btw absolution was a breakup album so if kate does leave him i hope to see another absolution:wacko:

But I actually liked NSC. . .yes, it was VERY cheesy, but I still liked it a lot. :wacky:

It's the sort of cheesy I never expected from Muse. :dizzy:

Absolution was a break up album????

^^^^^I like NSC, definetly NOT my favorite, but it's a very nice, cheesy song :) And I like the drums part! :D

^^^^Rly?! :o Absolution is about breakup? I didn't know that!

I like NSC but as a one off. No more please.

NSC is mostly terrible, but it's kind of a fun song live. Guiding Light is terrible both ways and is one of the few Muse songs on an LP that I flat-out dislike. And Undisclosed Desires is one of the very few songs that's actually better in its studio version.

Other than that, The Resistance is most inoffensive, although the latter half of the album is much stronger (starting with Unnatural Selection). It doesn't have any songs I'd place in my Top 10, though US and MK Ultra do come close.

I'm registered at Muselive, but that was just so I could download bootlegs of my shows. :P Yeah, I'm one of those terrible people.

I post on .mu semi-frequently, but it tends to be a lot scarier than Coldplaying, even in the general discussion forums. People pounce on you for even suggesting that Feeling Good is simply a mediocre song rather than the outright horrible demonic spawn of Satan (which you are thereby required to believe in order to post there). As for Banter, don't get me started on most of it. I've been able to meet tons of great fans in-person through Banter actually, but that's mostly through harmless meet-up threads that don't contain the word "pornogenic".

it was :)

matt had broken up with his farmer girlfriend and during that time had meet gaia

the "other muse topics" has pornogenic topics:rolleyes:

I agree with this but I do like UD's live intro. I kinda wished they released We are the Universe and MK Jam as B-sides.

Hopefully they will as this years xmas present :)

ooh really, I thought it was Gaia that made Matt cover feeling good for OoS. That's interesting.

Ah, my bad. I just tend to stay out of both whenever possible. :laugh3:

Yeah, I would like them to release those as B-sides :D

I love their christmas presents they send out. Last year we got MK Ultra live, the year before Dead Star live at V festival. This year I hope it's Bliss/CE/RbS at Wembley. :awesome:

The Banter people seemed to be so rude and unnacepting to me. :|

But I think that the mods on .mu are also a bit lock-happy. Just saying. :|

The Main Muse people can either be really nice, really crazy, or really "WHAT I THINK IS RIGHT".

i like that abt muse fans that even muse fangirls and fanboys can easily make fun of them and don't shy away from hating things they say or do
