The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You

Featured Replies

I caught up with the last few pages of this thread and I want to hug you guys. My body is so sore, I'm quite dehydrated, and my head feels funny. But my friend and I still had such an amazing time.

We got barrier on Matt's side (which I still can't believe) and we stayed put the entire day. As Michael already said, that crowd was just ridiculous. The pushing started when Arctic Monkeys began, and it only got worse from there. The girl next to us during Muse just went absolutely crazy and unintentionally started shoving my friend off from barrier.

Right, the band. So since that was my first Muse gig, this review might be a bit exaggerated. I thought the boys were so incredible, and Matt seemed like he was having a pretty great time. During their riffing/jamming sections, it finally hit me on how talented and amazing the boys are as a live band. I'm so ridiculously happy that they played Butterflies & Hurricanes.

Every time Matt walked to the side of the stage and stood in front of us, I just reached my arm out and screamed. Tom walked past us while they were setting up Muse's gear. :wacky:

The one thing that really sucked (besides being squashed by the crowd) was that when Citizen Erased started, two guys wanted to get out of the crowd, and I was right in front of them. So I had to duck down and wait for the security guard to hoist them out. When the CE riff started again, another guy wanted to get out of the crowd, and I had to duck again. Very annoying. :shifty: Still, it was fantastic to actually hear CE.

So, um, yeah. That's my review. I just want to go back and relive it. :bigcry:

glad u had fun and are ok:hug:

  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

I come bearing Outside Lands pics (including a decent shot of the 7-string and the 2nd Dom pic is probably the best Dom pic I've ever taken):

Nice pictures Michael! The Dom ones were hilarious.

Glad you both had a great time despite the crowd. :D

and great pictures, Michael!

Just gotta hold it in. :P Unless you can get someone to keep your spot and if people in the crowd will allow you to get back to the front again.

:|

That's not good for me. :uhoh: At least with a normal gig you can pee before the doors open and then pee when the gig is over. :|

KEYTAR :cheesy: Nice pics, Michael!

Will a Reading/Leeds live online stream available?

It better. :whip:

Whoa, the other Muse thread got so big they had to make another one? :laugh3:

I haven't posted here in a while... Love the fact they've finally given Feeling Good a rest and started to play Citizen Erased as a concert regular! :)

Actually, the admins/mods closed all the threads with over 10,000 posts, which resulted in people making new threads. It's supposed to help the site load faster.

Anyway, I hope those who have heard/will head "Citizen Erased" enjoy it. It probably won't be played much at all (if ever again) after they stop touring and start work on LP6.

Come to think of it "Take a Bow" was the only rarity played in North America that I didn't get this tour. Probably says more about Muse mostly wanting to play hits over here rather than their best material, but at least I can say I got Bliss, RBS, Citizen Erased, and B&H. That said, New Born is probably toast next tour since it got dropped in the latter part of last year. Bring on LP6!

I'll be happy to see New Born be dropped, despite it being one of my favourites. I saw it the first time I saw them and it just didn't stand out as much as it seemed to on older concerts I'd seen and heard footage from. If they don't play it well anymore, they should drop it IMO

I just realized something.

With all the rarities that are being played now, if I ever do see Muse live, I will more than likely never get any of them.

...

Excuse me while I go cry in a corner. :bigcry:

They better be playing some rarities next time around. I'll be a non-student with a car so I can stalk them countrywide and do all WEMBLAYYYY dates.

Oh yeah.

*Insert Horatio Caine Meme here*

New Born live became lame when Matt stopped playing the intro.

I've only seen them twice, but I've been quite lucky with rarities. I've gotten:

Cave, Popcorn, USoE with Collateral Damage (although Matt ran off stage because he forgot how to play it.), Bliss, Citizen Erased, Ruled By Secrecy and Take a Bow. :awesome:

^O/TCOMPLETELY. YOUR BANNER :dazzled: How excited are we for November?!

Omg what a cute picture! :dazzled:

The only rarity I've seen was Citizen Erased (not in any way complaining! :wideeyed:)

But I agree, I honestly wouldn't be too upset if they dropped New Born. . . it's just no fun when Matt is lazy and doesn't play.

And I neeeeed to see Take A Bow, Bliss, and RBS live :bomb:

I know right? :dazzled: What date do you see them?

I tweeted this too, but I can't believe this realization just occurred to me - I got Citizen Erased more times than I got Feeling Good on this tour. LMAO.

Oh yeah, please vote for my dumb contest entry:

That's probably the best one I've seen.

I know right? :dazzled: What date do you see them?

2nd November. First date back in the UK :awesome: They seem to like us in Brighton still doing a call off here.

Guys, help. I need a new band to stalk until Muse tours LP6.

Let me rephrase that - I need a new band to stalk THAT ACTUALLY TOURS NORTH AMERICA.

You don't have to see them in concert to stalk them, you know.

...

OK, that just made me sound creepy. :uhoh:

Goodbye Muse Thread, I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks so I won't be on unless I can find an internet cafe or some place like McDonalds with free wifi.

Byeeeeeeee. :D

Kings Of Leon...? Oh wait :laugh3:

Uhhh, I DON'T KNOW. TOO MUCH PRESSURE TO THINK INSIDE A BOX THAT I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

:ninja: It did. But I do have to agree. I've seen Shake Aletti twice in a year and I stalk them. I know where they live.

Which btw, is no fault of my own.
