Can't stand Up in Flames. U.F.O comes second. Or maybe UATW. Depends on my mood. :P

UWTB might be the best Coldplay song of all time. And no im not kidding.

the ending of u.f.o which is an intro for PoC, is one of my favorite moments off the album.

lyrics are cool too, remind me of VLV era .

UATW is an instant classic, so that's number one for me. I can't choose between the others, but I feel UFO holds the album together or finishes it in someway if that makes sense.

 

Also completely unrelated, but I still think we should have emoticons for the MX symbols. So if who ever is in charge of that is reading this, I think we should do that.:)

Chris called the album "schizophrenic". You know the story - they started with an acoustic album and ended up enoxificaded and poptastic but they kept some of the songs in their original arrangements. UATW is really needed between CB and ETIAW. I LOVE the live version. UIF sounds really good on quality speakers and it follows the story of POC. UWTB I find a bit overrated, but I do get lost in its epicness from time to time. UFO was definitely the biggest disappointment, and I think it's the weakest song on the album (it is nice though), because I expected a crazy experimental radioactive lasery LSD hallucination which pretty much ended up being the most conservative Coldplay song eva.

I totally agree with you about UFO. It's sounds very Parachutes like, but if that's the Coldplay for people who pine for Coldplay to go back to Parachutes I think it's a massive reason for them not to....at least at this moment in time. And I wish people would stop moaning going 'humph! I want Parachutes Coldplay back!". Man just piss off! Go and listen to Parachutes and it's b sides if you want to. Just stop asking for things that have already been done! It's not even their best album! AROBTTH and VLVODAAHF smother Parachutes! I do like Parachutes better than MX but just because MX isn't exactly to my or anyone elses liking doesn't mean they go back and play it safe because that's what Parachutes 2.0 would be. If Coldplay made Parachutes 2.0 they might as well split up. They clearly wouldn't have any other ideas left.

I voted for UATW, but now I'm leaning towards UWTB. I'm glad it's 'winning'.

I doubt that any of these songs will be singles, but the Up With The Birds video could be really amazing...

Actually I can't really picture a music video with a whole story, because I feel UWTB is an end. An incredibly beautiful end, but an end. It's weird :inquisitive:
