Does everyone get a xyloband?

Featured Replies

In Vancouver, the door ushers who scanned everyone's tickets to get inside the arena were the ones who were passing out the wristbands - so rest assured! :)

Technically you are only allowed to get 1 per person.

I will see Coldplay on May 2 at Hollywood Bowl. Someone gave me a Xyloband from an earlier concert. I can not get it to work and turn it on. How does it work?

Hopefully everyone who goes to a show gets one... I've seen someone with 5 on each arm in a video O.o

It only works at the concert. It's radio controlled. ;)

I am going to the May 2nd concert. I would like to meet people who like Coldplay. I would like it if you contact me.

@Jayreg1969 Hi I'm going to a Coldplay concert & wondered if your Xylobands are going to be sold/given out there? And are they free? :)Thanks

Right, just another question, hehehe, I'm seeing them tomorrow and because we have reserved seating, we don't need to queue up for hours on end or something, so if we got there during a support acts performance, one: would I still get in? And two: would I still get a xylobands?

Yes and yes

Aw, I'm too late to cause drama by saying something to the effect of "first 5000 through the doors only"

Why wouldn't it work? I know the ones from last year/ x factor won't.This one is from the Coventry show.

Can't remember where I read it, maybe the oracle maybe not, but it says each set of xylobands are only designed to work for the show they're from

Hope i'm wrong for you though!

The ones from Friday also worked on Saturday.

I think the ones from this leg on the tour work on the same frequency, but the older ones from last year don't. Something about some new tech used on this leg that is different than last year?

If it doesn't work, then hey ho, i'll still have a cool wristband. :)

I think it would work as it has enough battery to be activatable for a long time. I wanted to know what they loooked like inside and I came across this site: http://hackaday.com/2012/02/19/ask-hackaday-did-you-catch-the-grammys/#comments which although some of their theories are way out is interesting. :shocked2: <- eye-opener

There are several YouTube videos showing how to make them work at home, but the effect is not the same, perhaps if someone could get hold of the radio frequency control soft and hard ware we coldplayers could do a flashmob literally!!! somewhere, anywhere, London ... ... that would be fun, bringing along some music to go with it, Charlie Brown and Viva la Vida is what I'm thinking of, revolutionary :laugh3::rolleyes:

I wouldn't arrive too late as someone who arrived after the warm-up acts didn't get one (on the 4th June), there was a rumour that another person or people got loads hence running out. If you are a hand them outer could you please stick to one each, it won't affect me as I've already been, but I don't like the feeling others will miss out, and gaps in the stadiums would look weird. :stunned:
