anyway, this is very good news, but obviously we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking that all of the problems in iraq are going to end because of it.

i'm glad he's been found...but (and i apologise to all the lovely american people on this board) i cringed when the announcement was made by starting off with "Ladies and Gentlemen...we got him!" That kind of thing just reduces it to some videogame shoot 'em up. This is important.

that's the kind of cowboy mentality our current administration tends to have, and had i watched it, rest assured i would have cringed with you.

I agree. I sighed with relief when I saw the news. I'm not sure about "We got him," though I do understand cheering. Typing this out, Im not sure "We got him" is that much different than just hceering, so I guess I'll just walk the line and just prefer relief.

I hope there isnt another dictator. I wasnt old enough to understand what he did to the kurds and the Gulf war and that. Were living in the 21st century now, i hope we can move on and people can become more civilised and less cruel :/ Dictatorships suck! :angry: How can people be so cruel, as to thinking that slaughtering innocent people is the right thing to do? Its crazy :/

Hearing how the American media is covering this story, I already see a dangerous connection being drwan between the capture of this obviously evil man and a justification for a war based around lies ... errrrrrrrrrr: bad intelligence.
