I remember when Coldplay was "Photo friend", That was good old days... Now I dont understand why they are so "Control freaks" live...

Friday night in Montreal I've been drived out of Bell Center because I took a photo with a Canon 7D & 50mm lens...

Celebrity makes people change so fast... :(

They're still "photo friendly". I only know that professional cameras aren't allowed, and the lens can't be too big, though I don't remember the maximal size accepted (I think it's over 50 mm though). Other cameras are allowed.

Look, from July 20th:

Canon 7D is not a full frame Pro Camera...

I think these are rules imposed by the venue administration and not the band themselves.

Oh! Great!... Bring your camera fans and the security will make you miss the show!

Canon 7D is not a full frame Pro Camera...

Well I'm sorry about your camera, I don't know much about these things, but what I know is that the band is completely fine with people taking pictures. There's even a section on Coldplay.com where you can upload your pics from the show(s) you attended.

Yeah right... hardly pushed by bullies, ticket seized, escorted outside like a criminal... My worst experience ever!...

Coldplay images & music will never be the same for me...

Have a nice day!

But it looks something like this.

Anything resembling a DSLR tends to get confiscated.

Hooouuu!! Freightning!!!...

Anything with a detachable lens is considered a "professional" camera.

that looks like a whopper to me.

Are they Photos friendly or just iPhone friendly???

No matter the resolution... It's the size of the camera!...

If it's big as a burger you will be kicked out during the show!...

I have a great respect for people who walk their talk, specially without hidden exceptions...

This is more than 140$ deception...

Yeah... and everything with wheels is a car...

They have to be honnest and tell their fans there is NO camera admitted exept phonecamera or something without ISO adjustement... Like that they will ''control'' everything without any fans expulsion...

It's probably a rule the venue set, more than a rule the band set tbh

It's usually the policy of the building not the band...although some people, like Prince, prohibit ALL photos. This, however, is flashed up on screens before the concert.

The Bell Centre policy is no cameras - it says so on their website.

I was there last night and saw many people checking their bags and/or camera bags in the coat check. Did they not give you that option?

I've been to hundreds of concerts and never been allowed anything more than a small digital camera or an iphone.

I'm surprised they didn't give you the option to put it in the coat check. That sucks.

I did call Evenko before the show... They told me no video caption equipement allowed! But on site security told me that was an band rule... before they drive me out!...

Who tell the truth?

Well, I was at the show on Thursday, and played a recorded message that in both French and English telling audience members the usual venue rules, and they specifically mentioned that pictures were not allowed to be taken. I remember hearing this because both my friend and I said "Yeah right, everyone's got a camera here!". I think they just don't want professional cameras to be used, other than by official journalists and whoever who are permitted to bring those cameras to a show.

Lolll... J'ai pas entendu ce message... Ok, now we have to update their bs status from ''Photo friendly band'' to '' Image control freak band''... We have to pay to learn!...

They're now like Politicians for me...

For these dudes because they are idiots - sorry, it's the word.

There is a BIG difference between SEMI professional and PROFESSIONAL camera. A BIG. Let me tell you.

I'm sorry for you. Means you missed the concert?

I had the idea to bring my Rebel XSi with my 18-200 or my 70-300mm.

Thank god I didn't !??

What I'm surprised at is they didn't let you just check your camera in the coat check and return to the show.

In a non-responsibility area?

May be it's a good option for you, but not acceptable for me...

anyway this is not the fact here... I've been deceived...

That's all...... Have a nice day...
