AROBTTH needs to come back. It's time. Or White Shadows.

Cemeteries Of London would fit with the supernatural theme.;)

 So would 42 actually. And DAAHF.

Don't Panic, Square One, Talk, Amsterdam... wouldn't object to Strawberry Swing or LiJ.Only In My Wildest Dreams: Prospekt's March/Poppyfields

I hope MX/HLH stays in the setlist that song is just so energetic I love it!

I would LOVE to hear DAAHF live.. I never got to hear it in concert and it's one of my favorites. Also: Politik, Shiver, Daylight, AROBTTH, Square One, I Ran Away... so many wishes! Oh, and Talk for Jonny's guitar part :wideeyed:

im BUMPING this thread cause I wanted to share my thoughts on what I think the next tour should be like IMO.

Right off the bat, this shouldn't be a copy of MX. I've heard that there will be a return of the xyloband and that's fine... but everything else, whether it be the intense color, graffiti, all that. I hope isn't a repeat. With that said, if this rlly is MX 2.0 coming, I hope its recognized as that.

Obviously big stadium/arena tours will come with the given - extravagant lighting, lasers, confetti. But there usually is something special about each tour. I personally love Viva La Vida tour cause it highlighted on the best parts of the band, with X&Y songs being done differently and more heartfelt, the acoustic creative bits even with Will singing... I feel it was powerful and big enough for stadiums without seeing too enormous. I feel MX tour was a bit like that. Not that is was bad at all, but like the album MX itself, it just felt like a bit of that personal connection was lost.

With Ghost Stories Tour, I feel like we might have regained it, but then again, I also feel like the tour was one of the worst of Coldplay's history. I hated the fact that MX was contrasting the darkness of GS. I felt they included MX so they didn't bore the audience, but why not try and bring back old favorites like Don't Panic, Amsterdam, We Never Change, other low key songs that would have fit so much better than Paradise, Charlie Brown, or ETDIAWF. I think that the whole low key tour was a missed opportunity.

My fear is that this next tour is going to be another MX filled setlist and with a few GS songs and the new songs, we might lose a lot of Viva, X&Y, and Parachute songs. AROBTTH will always be well represented I think, but these special eras shouldn't be forgotten.

So my biggest wish for LP7 tour is simply a well distributed tour. I think the only way to do that is to do 2 hour concerts. I know people don't think its possible, but U2 can do it, so I know Coldplay can. And with every album, they lose the ability to play all the essential hits from each album.

Parachutes: Yellow, Everything's Not Lost, Shiver

AROBTTH: Clocks, The Scientist, In My Place, Politik, GPASUYF

X&Y: Speed of Sound, Fix You, Hardest Part, Talk

Viva (this one is the biggest because it has so many loved songs) : LIT II, Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, LIJ, Strawberry Swing

MX: Paradise, Charlie Brown, ETDIAWF

GS: Magic, ASFOS, True Love, Oceans

That's 25 songs. You could take a bunch of songs away from those albums that may not be your essential hits, but even 20 songs plus LP7 songs will probably be about 25 songs or more. If they continue to play 15-20 songs at most, we will probably lose Parachutes or X&Y except for maybe Fix You. But if Coldplay intends to do an hour concert, that's fine, but make sure you have all you albums covered. And change your setlist a lot.

As for the design of the tour, that depends solely on the album design. A dark album (which I believe is not the direction of LP7) requires a AROBTTH white washed sort of design. A colorful album like Viva or MX can vary. But whatever it is, find something to define it. I hope they don't let Mylobands 2.0 be that. Find something new.

Anyways, other than it, I love when they change up old songs and cover songs. Its a fun thing for me personally and it can connect audiences to them imo. I hope they do that again.

Am I over my head here? Probably, but I just don't want more of the same. Maybe I'm the only fan who is scared of Coldplay going back to MX 2.0, which done correctly could be brilliant, but also could be a disaster. But I don't think im the only fan who wants more songs and more diversity in the setlists.

I really wouldn't be sore if we didn't see In My Place for another tour... or two....

...or ever.
