Im still SUPER EXCITED about this. The wait is killing me. Can't wait for the song and can't wait for the movie (Catching Fire is the best of 3 books IMO).

Happy that Coldplay will be associated with it.

And I don't mind looking at Jennifer. I adore her and saw all her movies (except the horror one)

The horror one...you did not miss much :) Also a huge fan of Jennifer Lawrence and I love the Hunger Games books, so I anticipate the movies as well.

As far as I know that is one of the official posters from Catching Fire, the movie, so they are using the exact same poster to promote the song.

You're right, but I'm glad they used this poster...

'Hunger Games: Catching Fire': First Official Poster Debuts

11:31 AM PDT 5/14/2013 by Sophie Schillaci

The one-sheet, released Tuesday via the film’s official Instagram account, features Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen standing high among the clouds with her bow and arrow in hand. Behind her, the clouds appear to take the shape of a Mockingjay -- which will become an unofficial symbol of rebellion in Panem.

The tagline for the poster is a line drawn straight from Suzanne Collins' book: “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.” The new poster comes following a series of Victory Tour posters and Capital portraits released earlier this year as well as a new motion logo unveiled in November. Catching Fire, the second installment in Lionsgate’s four-part series, hits theaters Nov. 22.

Loving the new posters with the band. You guys are a creative bunch

Hoping for symphonic rock (NOT LIKE MUSE), expecting acoustic.

Also so far strangely unexcited.

Mythology influenced album would be amazing (a la Amnesiac) considering that Chris studied ancient history (or whatever).

Even because nothing can beat this

I'm not hyped at all.

I just realized that Paradise fits perfectly with the Hunger Games movies.

I just realized that Paradise fits perfectly with the Hunger Games movies.

Not sure about that; I saw the first movie yesterday and I can not fit in Paradise, how much I try.

I did like some parts of the story but it was not my cup of tea.

And the music wasn't that special either; I am sure at least ONE track will be great in part 3!!!

Not the 1st movie but book 2 and 3.

Katniss dreams of "paradise", a better world for her sister and her friends.

Give me 5 minute to elaborate

Im not saying that Chris found inspiration from The Hunger Games but I was listening to Paradise (I've been playing a lot of MX lately before Atlas comes out" and Katniss came to mind.

This is just 1 out of millions ways to interpret this song.

Obviously if you haven't read the book or seen the movie, stop reading. There are spoilers but nothing major.

"When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in her sleep"

This is basically the first chapters of the series. When she was a little girl, she was full of hope and happy. She felt invisible and strong then her father died and everything went to hell (her mom checking out, her having to take care of her little sister while facing all the challenges of District 12, etc...)

"Dreamed of para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Para- para- paradise

Every time she closed her eyes

Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh"

When she became friends with the Gale, she started of dreaming of "paradise" again. Gale and her were partners and she had hopes that things will be better, that she was the master of her own life.

"But it flew away from her reach

And the bullets catch in her teeth"

This is the rest of the 1st movie (book1) Her having to volunteer as a tribute, the killings, etc... What little hope she had, died when she participated in the hunger games.

"Life goes on

It gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

Every tear, a waterfall

In the night, the stormy night

She closed her eyes

In the night, the stormy night

Away she'd fly."

This is the first chapters of book2 when she returned to District 12. "Life goes on" but she's sad and can't stop crying. And she pretty much never leaves her room.

"So lying underneath those stormy skies.

She said oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.

I know the sun must set to rise."

With the help of her friends and family (after her short depression) she comes to realize that all bad things have an end. She's still a little hopeful but also very scared.

Looks like an angel Chris farting clouds :wideeyed:

holyshit you're right :lol::lol:

ugh that's all I see now. Thank you

And Macky does have a point
