Guest LiquidSky
David Brent to team up with Coldplay for Under 1 Roof charity gig David Brent’s music career is going from strength-to-strength with The Office star set to perform with Coldplay. Ricky Gervais will be joining Coldplay at the Under 1 Roof gig on Thursday, December 19 as David Brent. Brent will be playing with his band Foregone Conclusion while Lily Allen, Dynamo and Rizzle Kicks will also be performing on the night. The show is being staged to raise money for the charity Kids Company with Coldplay also donating instruments and stage outfits used during their Mylo Xyloto world tour to be auctioned on eBay. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said: ‘Buying a ticket to this concert will guarantee two things: a totally unique never-to-be-repeated night of star-spangled entertainment, and money in the Christmas coffers of a charity that brings love and happiness to London’s most vulnerable kids.’ Tickets go on sale this Thursday (November 14) at 9am from the Gigs And Tours and Eventim Apollo websites. link
Black Rose
I hope they bring in some anti-touting measures, such as having it ticketless (show your payment card & booking reference to get in).

Guest LiquidSky
Coldplay have been confirmed for a charity gig in London with support from Ricky Gervais as David Brent and Foregone Conclusion. Also performing at the Under 1 Roof concert at London's Hammersmith Eventim Apollo are Lily Allen, Dynamo and Rizzle Kicks. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said: "Buying a ticket to this concert will guarantee two things: a totally unique never-to-be-repeated night of star-spangled entertainment, and money in the Christmas coffers of a charity that brings love and happiness to London's most vulnerable kids." Fearne Cotton will host the evening, which is raising money for Kids Company - a charity which works with vulnerable children and young people in London and Bristol. Coldplay headlined the first U1R concert in 2011 at London's O2 with support from Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge, Tinie Tempah, Rob Brydon and Emeli Sandé, raising over £400,000. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, November 14 at 9am. Instruments and outfits from the band's Mylo Xyloto world tour will also be auctioned via eBay for Kids Company. The charity's founder Camila Batmanghelidjh said: "When you feel happy your heart flips - Coldplay have made thousands of children's heart flip not just through their music but through their kindness and support. "The concert will bring together some incredible talent under one roof to help some incredibly courageous, vulnerable children who are surviving their childhood so that they might have a brighter future." link

HurtsLikeHeaven42
So is this going to be a hinting at LP6 era or just a random era?
Black Rose
I reckon it will be a mixed era set-list, maybe a "greatest" hits style set.
Tash
They better play Christmas Lights.

Comicforce
I hope they bring in some anti-touting measures, such as having it ticketless (show your payment card & booking reference to get in). Me too. I am so desperately hoping to get tickets to this. I remember the stress off trying to get tickets to the Emirates and the Little Noises. If they are all gone in the first 20 seconds, it's got to be touts, hasn't it? They better play Christmas Lights. Oh god that would be amazing. Hyperventilates ... MosesTheMarshmallow
Christmas Lights, Atlas (as a band), Moving to Mars, and unheard material from LP6? :D
Black Rose
All gone in 20 seconds, but available on secondary ticket sites = professional ticket touts, insiders buying tickets for themselves to sell at a mark-up or promoters hoping for extra cash. Tash
How long do you guys reckon their set list will be, given there are other acts on the bill? They played 16 songs in 2011 so probably something like that.
