Good afternoon. It's just been announced that Atlas - the track Coldplay created for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire film - has been nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes. The winner will be announced at the ceremony in LA on 12 January.

Unexpected for me

Love the GG, so much more fun to watch. more than a party than an awards. the peeps in attendance seem to be having a good time too.

I think that U2 is a huge contender to win because of the song being from a movie about Madiba aka. Nelson Mandela (R.I.P. Madiba).

 

But I would love to see Atlas win. Best for me would be if both songs won the award together. But that is not likely.

I agree completely.

I don't think Atlas is such a great song, but Ordinary Love manages to be a lot more generic.

I'm not a big fan myself, but I am really really happy for the band. Pretty soon there won't be any awards they haven't been nominated for! :-)

Atlas deserves to win no doubt. Ordinary Love was so ordinary it left me hugely disappointed.

I think its a hard chose because I like Ordinary Love by U2 as well...

Hard to chose, lets see

Both bands are showing it off... what they will sound like or how on form they're for their next album..

U2 new movie song: I like the Edge guitar solo as well as how adam bass sound, all new fresh the edge, and with recently new mix of the song it just got even better. (Cons: A bit like they stole some sound stuff from coldplay's mylo xyloto...)

COLDPLAY new movie song: I like the return of a proper piano song, sounds a bit like the old coldplay when Jonny boy uses that slider on his guitar (sorry for guitarrignorance) to make those sounds. It reminicence me of AROBTTH AND I LOVE AROBTTH! SO!

Wouldn't it be great if the band brought (and walked the red carpet with) their significant others to the Golden Globe ceremony this Sunday? I wouldn't want to miss Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosting the award show.

If they are there at all, they won't walk the red carpet.

New year, maybe new attitudes about the crossing lines between work and personal life. Crossing fingers! Significant others are members of the Coldplay family too.
