Good morning. The band have announced that they will mark the release of their new album, Ghost Stories, by playing six intimate shows in six cities around the world. The dates are as follows:

 

25 April – E-Werk, Cologne, Germany

 

05 May – Beacon Theatre, New York, USA

 

19 May – Royce Hall, Los Angeles, USA

 

28 May – Casino de Paris, Paris, France

 

12 June – Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan

 

01 July – Royal Albert Hall, London, UK

 

 

Tickets for the Cologne show will go on sale at 9am CET on Saturday, 19 April from www.eventim.de/coldplay.

 

Ticket information for the remaining five shows will be emailed exclusively to subscribers to the Coldplay mailing list (which can be joined here).

 

Ghost Stories will be released worldwide on Monday, 19 May. You can pre-order it now from iTunes or on CD.

Coldplay should have announced a concert in a slightly larger venue (E-Werk only a capacity of 2000 people). Compared to the Royal Albert Hall, it is very small. Anyway, let's see whether all the German coldplayers get a ticket (I'll try almost everything).

There should be a 1 hour presale for coldplaying members only. I fear the eventim site will crash so badly on saturday. :(

Oh god yeah, last time it also crashed and there were 4 concerts in Germany! I can't imagine how crappy it is gonna be on saturday :freak:

Maybe they learned from last time and got their servers ready for a sale like this. I wonder how this will work, a 2000 people venue, some of the tickets go away in contests so i guess maybe 1500-1800 will go on sale. What if more than 1800 people are trying to get tickets on saturday at exactly 9 am? Do you just need some luck and coldplaying karma or does it help your chances if you go to the site at 8:30? :thinking:

I tend to the "just need some luck" because well, there will be a shitload of people trying to get the tix! I bet the concert is sold out in 2 minutes.

I doubt it as eventim don't care if the site crashes as long as they sell all the tickets anyway.

Yes, great that tickets are personalized, I hope they do this for the complete tour to prevent assholes buying a whole bunch and selling them or giving them away to business associates who don't give a ^$% about Coldplay.

 

I'm gonna try to get 2 tickets too for the 25th ( my sister and me) :) live just across the border from Cologne.

Great news. Do you guys think it's a one hour thing? If they broadcast it live it would sure make sense for the radio station if this were a one hour thing. I hope it's "normal" concert length though.

I am pretty sure to get in there by doing a "magic Coldplay trick" which I unfortunately cannot reveal, i promised! Last time in Nov 2011 it worked out fine for me. But I will try to get some more tickets anyways by asking someone I know who worked in the eWerk before. I am gonna try and order Tickets via Eventim as well. Gonna share all tickets I can get for face value or free depending on where I get them from.

As much as i love this i begin to realize how hard it will be to get tickets. I just can't and won't imaging not getting tickets for this. My guess is the eventim site will crash completely and you have to be insanely lucky to get tickets.

I don't really believe in god but please, let my coldplaying karma help me get this tickets and if some of you believe in god i guess it wouldn't hurt to include us coldplaying members in your prayers. :wings:
