Aw Jonny talked a lot in this interview. I missed his voice!

 

It's always lovely to see Jonny in interviews :)

Not sure why the band feels its necessary to do these shows. I thought Chris wouldn't do Graham Norton again after last time but I was wrong. I find it he still feels intimidated and shy when hes not around his usual audience. But they showed great professionalism around the once-funny macfarlane guy. They probably know how much he hates and ridicules them so its great to see they're not fazed at all.

I wonder how many people actually laughed at that petty attempt at a joke :lol: It was more of a piss take if I'm honest.

it would have been too uncomfortable. from the looks of the interview, chris wasn't up to his usual mischievous self this time around. but seth mcfarlane referenced it by saying he is always nice to coldplay. chris and jonny completely ignored him. :)

To be clear, I think Seth is just part of a large team of writers. The decision to add these good natured jabs at Coldplay may not be 100% the view of Seth. Even if Seth doesn't like the band('s music), the can see he can be civil around them. I think they all have a mutual understanding its all in good fun. I personally don't have a problem with it, its not as bad as some of the anti-coldplay fans who would cite this and other pop culture, movie referencing jokes as 'reasons' the band sucks (like its a fact or something).

macfarlane is the creator, main writer and all around boss of the show. The "writers" you mentioned practically don't do anything.

But let me make it clear I am in no way mad about this. Its an unfunny show targeting white middle class males with wildly prejudiced views. So I pretty much do what the band do and ignore it.

Man, I just got mad at Seth. No matter what it's disrespectful talking about someones family. That was low to involve Chris' parents and ancestors.

 

But I'd love if Chris brought it up, I wouldn't care if it'd be awkward, some action is needed. :D

I don't mind family guy, and i think chris has enough sense of humor to understand that it's just a joke
