Lukestar1991
To those posting massive excessively gargantuan setlists... I'm waging that future shows will resemble the MX formula (albeit a little shorter in length, i.e not exceeding 1hr30mins). For those wondering, we need only look at the iheart show if we want a glimpse of the latter third of the set (give or take an acoustic and or new song). Lukestar1991
I don't think they'll be very adventurous this time round. Anyway, here's my bet: (New Song) Charlie Brown Clocks Magic Yellow True Love (New Song) God Put a Smile Upon Your Face Oceans Don't Panic [and or any other acoustic / slow tempo track] (New Song) Viva La Vida Paradise M.M.I.X. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall [Encore] Fix You ASFOS (New Song)

Lukestar1991
Damn where's The Scientist? I think it's a possibility, but much like Politik they've been playing it continuously for the best part of a decade. I wouldn't be sad to see that and In My Place dropped for the foreseeable future. Lukestar1991
If it was for me, i'd put all a rush of blood album and stop. Ahahahahahhahahaah. Ps: sorry for my english.. Not at all! I think that would be a decent idea. I actually wouldn't mind the fact that a massive chunk of their shows are pre-manipulated (i.e. use of backing tracks and generally little variation in setlists) if they mixed things up a bit. Throwing in AROBTTH one night, Square One and Amsterdam the next would make all the difference I feel.

anthamic
Hey! I'm late, but MAIN STAGE 1. LP7 2. Politik 3. In My Place 4. LP7 5. Yellow 6. Shiver 7. LP7 8. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face B STAGE 9. (Remix Medley) 10. LP7 11. Strawberry Swing or Magic MAIN STAGE 12. Viva la Vida 13. LP7 14. Charlie Brown 15. Paradise 16. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 17. A Sky Full of Stars C STAGE 18. LP7 19. The Scientist ENCORE 20. Clocks 21. Fix You 22. LP7 Not my dream setlist, but something that looks realistic enough for Coldplay. Judging from the Mylo Xyloto tour set lists, at least 9 songs (not including MX) will be played. B and C stages have been done by them since the VLV tour, so it's likely that'll return. It's also likely that they'll increase the song count, so maybe around 1hr 40mins.

diego_camargo
The setlist probably will be their biggest singles and some LP7 songs. Sadly I'm not expecting them to play their least known songs like Politk, Hurts Like Heaven, Midnight and etc. I already accept that this the way they are working nowadays. My guess is this: 1 - LP7 song 2 - ETIAW 3 - Paradise 4 - Clocks 5 - LP7 song 6 - The Scientist 7 - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face 8 - Viva La Vida 9 - A Sky Full Of Stars 10 - Amazing Day 11 - In My Place - Break - 13 - LP7 song 14 - Yellow 15 - Magic 16 - Fix You 17 - LP7 song
42Escapist
I do think we'll get Politik and a couple of non-hits like Don't Panic every now and then so I'm optimistic about the setlists. Here's my current guess, based on what they've done in the past as well as how AHFOD will apparently sound. 1. LP7 2. Politik 3. In My Place 4. Yellow 5. LP7 6. ETIAW 7. LP7 8. Violet Hill B-stage: 9. Magic 10. LP7 11. The Scientist Back to A-stage: 12. Charlie Brown 13. Viva La Vida 14. Don't Panic or Trouble 15. Paradise 16. Amazing Day 17. LP7 18. ASFOS 1st encore, acoustic C-stage in the crowd: 19. GPASUYF or Speed of Sound 20. Green Eyes or Til Kingdom Come 2nd encore, A-stage: 21. Clocks 22. Fix You 23. LP7 lead single On a few rare occasions, songs like Daylight, Strawberry Swing, or Warning Sign may find their way into the setlist as well. I also have a feeling that the shows may be a little longer than in past tours, but that might just be wishful thinking.
jer123
They have got to add some old songs like White Shadows/Low/Politik/Warning Sign into the setlist or else its pretty boring...

They've already done Warning Sign for the MX tour so it's unlikely that they'll play it (ever) agin. I'm with you for White Shadows, Low and Politik. Ronnie O Sullivan
What should be kept (apart from the obvious): Violet Hill Major Minus Charlie Brown if possible-Midnight What should make a comeback: Politik Amsterdan or Everythings not Lost Talk Trouble - acoustic What would be the most pleasant surprise: A Rush of Blood to the Head

Kidd is Alive
I've made a setlist based on statistics from previous tours. The reasoning is below: 1. LP7 Opener 2. Paradise 3. In My Place 4. LP7 Song 5. Viva La Vida 6. LP7 Song 7. LP7 Song 8. Clocks 9. Fix You 10. LP7 Song 11. LP7 Song 12. Charlie Brown 13. LP7 Song 14. Magic 15. Midnight 16. A Sky Full Of Stars 17. Yellow 18. LP7 Song 19. LP7 Song 20. LP7 Song 21. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall I love statistics, and I also love Coldplay. So let's be statistic about Coldplay. Considering 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014 average setlists (thanks to setlist.fm, who gave all the info): first of all, this era seems to be CP's return to massive arenas with a big international tour, like Mylo Xyloto, so the setlist will surely be longer than the one of the Ghost Stories Tour, I'd say around 20 tracks. Considering the last three tours, they use to play at least half songs from their newer album: in the Viva Tour average setlist there are 11 songs out of 20 from VLV wich make the 55%, in the Mylo Xyloto Tour average setlist they were 9 out of 21 witch results in the 45% of the setlist, while in the Ghost Stories Tour average setlist they were 7 out of 13, wich makes about the 54%. So out of a 20 tracks set, I'd say 9 or 10 will be from A Head Full Of Dreams. They love to use their new album first track as an opener, usually followed by a well-known track: 2008 had Life In Technicolor/Violet Hill followed by Clocks, 2012 had MX/Hurts Like Heaven followed by In My Place (or Yellow in 2011), 2014 had Always In My Head followed by Charlie Brown. This is usually a good way to get the crowd fired up for the concert, especially BEFORE the album release when you are debuting a new track live. Plus, Coldplay has his "big five" tracks that they pretty much always play (especially when they have a short set), and they are the ones we've see at the iHeart Radio Festival: Paradise, Viva La Vida, Clocks, Fix You and A Sky Full Of Stars. I'd had Yellow to the group, wich is the most played live song from Parachutes. Other "must play" songs for larger sets are Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, Charlie Brown, In My Place and The Scientist. So back to percentages, my best guess for the LP7 Tour Setlist based on their previous is this (most probable songs in parenthesis): 50% A Head Full Of Dreams - 10/21 15% Ghost Stories - 3/21 (ASFOS, Magic and True Love/Midnight/Oceans) 15% Mylo Xyloto - 3/21 (Paradise, Charlie Brown and ETIAW) 6% A Rush Of Blood To The Head - 2/21 (In My Place and Clocks) 5% Viva La Vida - 1/21 (Viva La Vida) 5% Parachutes - 1/21 (Yellow) 4% X&Y - 1/21 (Fix You) This, however, it's a setlist made just with mathematical calculations and likelihood ratios. I'm pretty sure the real setlist will be much different, since I don't think Coldplay chose their sets by numbers :D
