I like The Strokes too, especially the new song and the new video - it's great!!

did you guys know that albert hammond jr. is going to release a solo album only in the uk!, but don;t worry the band isn't splitting up. Albert now has a myspace profile previewing his solo work (The Album Yours To Keep is out October 9th in the UK only). Strokes' manager Ryan Gentle runs the profile. i think its very cool, also it has some songs from in transit, like Obstinate that is now called In Transit.

THE STROKES RULE i want to go see em but theys opening for tom petty......hmmm, i dont know and i couldnt see them last time they were here, what i wouldnt give to go back in time and get tickets to their show at the loft. that would of been amazin, it was on their small club tour.

I'm sure they'll be back around, keep checking their official site. That's what I did and all of a sudden the Providence RI date popped up! I literally DIED! Lupos is just a small club, so.... omg!!! I honestly have never met any other diehard Strokes fans here in RI, so I'm assuming that I'll be the only one standing outside the venue for hours on end the day of the gig. Well, at least Lupos is right next to about 15 bars and the mall. I'll have the guys all to myself when they arrive :sneaky:

are u aware of their Pompano beach date? they arent opening for Petty. That's all the way in Gainsville!! It kinda sucks though, cause Pompano beach is 3 hours from Orlando and its a looooooooooong drive for a Sunday. Im crossing fingers that i go, since a lot of things have come up. :cry:

I saw them at Wolvo earlier in the year - top band, brutal crowd though. Lucky to escape.

 

I ended up against the wall stage left and spent the whole gig unable to see the drummeror Albert.

 

Oh and Adam Green supported as well - hes good, but weird.

The crowds are tough at Strokes shows. Here in America they're just really fucking annoying. I don't think anyone really appreciates them, so...

 

In Ireland I stood way in the back (Oxegen Festival) and saw them from like a mile away, so it wasn't too bad back there. But up front? oy.
