The Strokes

Not on the trailer right? Cause I went to the site of the movie to check it again cause I couldn't recall hearing it on the cinema but it's not on the official one! Though, it got listed on the soundtrack which proves you right! :D

Can't wait, I'm way too excited for that movie!

It plays on the TV commercials, from what I know. Or at least the short 15 second spots. I love it!

:nice: You girls are so kind :D I wish I could have taken pictures for you lot, I could have got some genius shots. But it just wasn't physically possible :laugh4: I can only tell you: GO SEE THE STROKES WHENEVER/WHEREVER YOU CAN!

seriously, your mind will be totally blown permanently.

whoo, I have to take a nap :snore:

AMEN! although I can't say the same for myself since I've never seen them live yet, but I'll make an effort to in the future. for the bajillionth time, danielle, you really had the time of your life!! :nice:

And same here, I'm ready to see Marie Antoinette :sneaky: I heard the soundtrack is supposed to be pretty good as well.

No, not on the trailer. On those Tv spots they have.

I have been excited about the movie for a while. My french couldnt stop going off last year on how the movie needed this and that:laugh4:

But yeah, yanno, Sofia Coppola directed it and I became a fan of hers after "Lost In Translation". I just hope she can re-do the brilliance with this one. However, I've heard disorienting reviews from people that have seen the previews and the sort...

I actually wasn't too big of a fan of 'Lost In Translation', I don't know why but the film never connected with me. I could recognize it's brilliance and readily say it was amazing, but it just didn't do anything for me personally ;) Incredibly directed film, though. She's an amazing artist :nice:

I'm so psyched! I love Kirsten Dunst, she's so pretty and awesome, and the french revolution era of history has always been my favorite. Add the Strokes on top of that and you basically have the perfect film for me! :laugh4: whoo!

Yeah, absolutely agree with that post! Never connected as much with 'Lost In Translation' but it was a movie I certainly enjoyed. I'm kinda obsessed about 'The Virgin Suicides' though (book, film, etc.) which involves both Sofia and Kirsten, so it's certainly a match that works for me! Opens on january over here though, so long to wait still

I never saw that movie, although I've always meant to. Think I'll check it out now ;)

Oh definitely do so! The book is worth a read too :shy: SO amazing.

Sofia Coppola is such an inspiration, and yes, that movie is still in my top 3 :D

And the soundtracks :stunned: my god, those are brilliant EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Wooo I'm staring at the dvd tempted to give it a look :cheesy:

I completely forgot about that movie!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, its such a great movie. I never read the book(I've been meaning too, but I just hate reading books after I've seen the movie!:laugh4:) Sofia is such an artist:nice:

I'll be definitely checking "MA" sounds like it will be a good one.

:laugh4: I'm kinda the same as you when it comes to movies and books, that's exactly why I'm rushing to finish 'Running with scissors' before the movie opens! Definitely give it a read; a LOT of things didn't make it into the movie and some others were slightly changed, so it's still extremely entertaining.

Omg i love this man

Seriously? :stunned: I was going to do the same!!! Oh god, I have just been so caught up on other things! The movie looks very interesting, just today I was watching a sort of documentary explaining what the movie is about, and the challenges the characters had.

I'll definitey check out the book as well, I love the comparing both. Most times I end up favoring the book, but on rare occassions I end up enjoying the film as well:nice:

ah, d d don't get UP! do do do! (do do do do do do do) I can't see the sunrise, I'll be waiting for you baby (do do) cuz I'm through SIT ME DOWN! shut me up! I'll calm down... And I'll get along with you (do do do do do, do do do do do!)

that was fun. I bet I've got the lyrics totally wrong but whatever :laugh4:

I love him too :bigcry: damn him! DAMN HIM!

Yeap, twins!! :D And they're married now, too!! Awww :nice:

So I read :nice:

I really love her work as cliché as that might be!

No, she's definately an incredible photography, ooooh my god. She's taken so many pictures that I've admired, even before I knew who she really was!

Obviously, she's a hero of mine :laugh4: She has my life, damnit!!

True, true! I remember being in this book store in London going through the photography section, and I was atracted to this book. Started looking through it and only after being fascinated by it I realised it was actually her book. Of course, it was something like 80 pounds, so...

Oh jeeeez, knowing me I'd be crazy and buy it LMFAO LMFAO

Trust me, I was well tempted to buy it, but just pictured my dad's face when getting the credit card ticket. That sure put the idea off :laugh4:

I'm going to do some final revision for my lightening exam tomorrow. Wish me luck! *crosses fingers*

Adieu Dani, have a good night

haha, oy, yeah.

Ahhh, good luck!! I will most definately keep my fingers crossed. I've got a spanish test, but lmfao.... I never study... :uhoh: Oh shit.

Night

Yeap' date=' twins!! :D And they're married now, too!! Awww :nice:[/quote']

Twins? Cute! Nick is such an icon. His wife's work is just fantastic. I really love em

omg I love the Strokes.

Just thought I'd state that very obvious fact. Oh my god. I need to get a last.fm to amuse myself, because I'm pretty much convinced it would be all Libertines (as in Libs and the other bands haha) and all Strokes :laugh4: Oy vey.

I think I'm going to use a Strokes lyric quote for my senior quote, that goes next to my picture in our yearbook...

Childhood's end can be so competitive.

Oh, the sky's not the limit

And you're never gonna guess what is...

lmfao I just love 'Red Light'. How brilliant are Julian's lyrics? *siiiigh* oh jeez.

Someone make the love stop! :laugh4: I want to see them again, I miss them so much. I remember during the encore I turned to my friend who I met there and was just screaming how I didnt want it to end, and I could stay there on the rail getting crushed to death for the rest of my life :laugh4: Everyone around me agreed. Ahhhh. Best gig ever. I've never had more fun.

OH MY GOD. I found pictures from my gig. This girl was right next to me the whole time, I'm positive. They're not that great, since if you used flash security would see you, your photography cover would be blown, and you'd be bye bye bye out of the venue. I fucking hate Lupos a lot, I don't plan on going to shows there anymore unless it's a great band playing. But anyways, that's not anything to do with the Strokes. Plus their lighting was impossible to get a good shot with. *sigh*

Anyhoo. I flipped a bit when I saw these lmfao

So yes, these are basically the shots I WOULD have got if Lupos didn't have it's figurative head up it's preverbial ass all the time.
