September 23, 200520 yr love them! I got set yourself on fire last week and it hasn't left my cd player yet :) soft revolution is ace! :)
September 24, 200520 yr okay bitches with your i started a thread and no the! i will kill you all...but weee we're the coolest chicks who like them... someone told me the members have other memebers from broken social scene and the arcade fire...is that true? yo no se man
September 24, 200520 yr They opened up when I saw Broken Social Scene the March before last. And I think that's how the girl in Stars ended up in Broken Social Scene because she was singing all of Leslie Feist's vocal parts at the show. Stars are all right. Sugary sweet pop but nothing particularly spectacular in my opinion. I liked them live but was bored half to death when I heard their new record.
September 24, 200520 yr I like Stars when I'm in the right mood. Of their two CDs, Set Yourself on Fire isn't half as good as Heart, though.
September 24, 200520 yr okay bitches with your i started a thread and no the! i will kill you all... we're programmed to point out the faults of others. that's our job. end transmission.
September 24, 200520 yr hmm maybe i should get heart since everyone is ranting.... and laura, i still hate you im trying to see stars in november they open up for death cab im soooo excited
February 24, 200818 yr Why is there no Stars thread? They are awesome. I've been listening to Set Yourself On Fire endlessly this week. http://www.myspace.com/stars
February 24, 200818 yr yep. i think take me to the riot is one of the best songs ever... so great  haven't really heard more of them yet, will do soon ;)
February 24, 200818 yr yeah, "Set Yourself On Fire" is ace. i also like "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead", though! and what was that remix compilation called again? i liked that very much!
February 24, 200818 yr yeah, "Set Yourself On Fire" is ace. i also like "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead", though! and what was that remix compilation called again? i liked that very much! Do You Trust Your Friends? I would love to get that album eventually since it has so many good artists on it. Like Apostle of Hustle, Final Fantasy, just to name a few.
May 10, 200818 yr The one with Syd Barrett? Or the Canadians? In both cases I can't say I have heard of them, but if you would like to make it onto my good-books, a self-made best-of mixtape would be good to get an introduction ;) I'm on the lookout for new Canadian bands, as Canada rules!
May 10, 200818 yr Not a fan exactly but I have the "Set Yourself On Fire" album on my computer and the track "Soft Revolution" is alright...in a driving in summer when I was 20 kinda way. And the title track aint that bad - and some other moments on other tracks are pretty ok, I guess - like "the big fight" for example. So, not a fan really....but I have only heard that album.
May 10, 200818 yr They're solid. I'm talking about the Canadian Indie band. Personally, my favorite Stars track is "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead". This band is for you if you've ever said "I love you" and haven't heard it back, if you've ever come across your ex and wondered what could have been or if you've ever made love one last time even though both of you knew it was over.
May 10, 200818 yr They're one of those bands I still need to 'get in to'. I like them, I know they're amazing, but I never fell in love with them. Even so, I'd still recommend them as one of Canada's better new bands. As for the Syd Barrett thing...any9one have it??
May 11, 200818 yr i actually preffer stars over broken social scene but ive never been able to get into either as much as i should.
