February 16, 201016 yr The only one I know is the one at the end of Fight Club:) Then you need to listen to more Pixies. Where is your mind is great, but there is so much more. Easily, and without question, one of the most influential alternative rock bands of all time.
February 16, 201016 yr I'm trying to get into them. I've really only heard Gigantic, which is awesome
February 16, 201016 yr Yeah, he said that a lot in the 90's....I have a feeling he may have changed his mind.
February 16, 201016 yr i read once that thom yorke called the pixies the greatest band ever Several artists name the Pixies as an influence. Kurt Cobain was a huge fan. In fact, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," the song that brought alternative music to the masses, almost wasn't released because the band was afraid that people would call it a Pixies rip off.
February 16, 201016 yr Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are both in my personnal top 10 of the 80s great band !!!
February 16, 201016 yr Their sound is so epically messed up. Sometimes...but listen to their best of...(wave of mutalation). Some of their stuff is more catchy and melodic than what broke into the mainstream. That's why I'm always surprised that it wasn't the pixies who broke down the door.
February 16, 201016 yr ^ haha...that's what I thought you meant. Some stuff is very experimental, and they love the distorted guitars. Plus, frank is a bit of a screamer.
February 16, 201016 yr Kay, just wanted to make sure. Debaser is so fucked up, it almost compares to the film it was written about. Almost.
