August 22, 20241 yr I love it! Sounds better than the live version. I'm not a fan of rap together with Coldplay so that part was the lowest point - why I never liked the Jay-Z Lost version! Interesting how the next song played on Spotify was People by Libianca! 😄 That and Calm Down might go well together. Hahaha.

August 23, 20241 yr Quick Review: It's a solid 8 or 9/10 for me. I think it's a super strong song with good production, solid mixing and a super catchy chorus and beat. Lil Simz sounds great per usual and has awesome lyrics, Burna Boy really adds a serious mood to it, the backing vocals throughout are really nice. The only thing that kind of bugs me is that once again, Jonny's guitar is very quiet in the mix and the live version featuring Elyanna on the final chorus and outro I think is way more pretty and powerful. I think a studio mix with Elyanna would be a near 10/10 for me so I'm kind of upset that this version made the album instead of hers. Not to crap on Chris but his vocals just don't hit as hard as the guests.
August 23, 20241 yr Author I was listening to the different parts of I am a Mountain, and the bits from the Moon Lounge and the start of the Singapore soundcheck (not part of the video on YouTube) sound like I've heard them before, like they're reminiscent of other Coldplay songs. I can hear bits of Life is Beautiful and Weirdo in it, I think. It's really weird.
August 23, 20241 yr Like most modern Coldplay songs I wish the guitar was more audible but I like We Pray a lot. Between the beat and violins it has a very cultural vibe to it, reminds me a bit of what they did as Los Unidades. It’s more of a risk musically than most of what was on MotS and the collaboration adds value to the song unlike a lot of theirs, I feel. August 23, 20241 yr So i guess 'All My Love' is the next single? That will be the best track of the album i think, i heard the live version and the melody and lyrics are simple but great. My guess is that 'Good Feelings' will be the final single. Also sounded really cool live. This album will be really good i think
