I don´t know what do people mean exactly by classic Coldplay, but I can´t see Aeterna fitting that spot...

I also don’t see how Rainbow fits into the “pop Coldplay” thing either

If they swapped Aeterna and the Orchestra of Rainbows it would probably be closer to what Benjod says. We're so close yet so far.

If you take the version of side b with Orchestra of Rainbows; add Coloratura, A Wave and a few other tracks, you’d have a really good non-pop space themed album. When MM is released I’m gonna make a playlist and see how it flows.

Aeterna is a outlier but, All My Love is very classic Coldplay, iAAM too, One World also,Neon Forest too

The Pop side Moon Music - Jupiter 

The more Alternative side is Orchestra-One World 

One of the intangibles that's fun about an album release even if we've heard teases we don't know how it's going to flow together in the studio version but I'm still being cautious about this given how MOTS did away with any sense of clear flow or pacing. 

I could see this tracklisting working though with a total album run time of somewhere around 43 minutes. Here's my guess and I'm basing some of my theories based on leaks I've heard so in case I'm right, don't click below. 

Spoiler

Side A (25 minutes)

• Ambient opening with Moon Music into gentle soft rock song FLIFL (5 minutes)
• Pace increases with We Pray which has piano/string outro flows into (4 minutes)
• Jupiter, a is likely to be more pop rock and story driven -- more punchy than FLIFL (4 minutes)
• Good Feelings which has a clear intro & outro during the live show. (4 minutes) Warped strings slow down and moves right into  
• 🌈 is three seperate short songs that all fit together snugly, features a 2 minute big loud post-rock song (Neon Forest),  a 2 minute ambient interlude with strings and piano (M.U.S.I.C.) and and 3 minute soft ballad (Angel Song). (7 minutes) This musical suite represents the full moon, the halfway point. 

Side B (18 minutes)

• Aeterna picks this back up -- it's a mirror of Good Feelings bringing more disco/funk sounds with the FLIFL Part II hidden track (6 minutes)
• All My Love delivers a chill little pop rock reprieve, mirroring Jupiter (2.5 minutes)
• IAAM gives us the big penultimate moment of the album -- full band, big sounds that fades off with an acoustic outro (5 minutes)
• One World - a long, ambient outro with big strings (6 minutes)

Thinking about all of this together, I think the album actually could flow pretty well and overall deliver a satisfying mostly gentle pop rock listening experience with the occassionaly digression into disco and alt-rock. But there's also no clear sense of if this album is even trying to have a theme or tell a story, which there's nothing wrong with if they just deliver on good songs.

Using Spotify on a computer lets you see the song lengths. "Moon Music" isn't a short intro, it's actually four minutes long. IAAM is quite short at only three, and One World is seven. Hoping for A Wave as a hidden track!

I wonder if Moon Music is the legendary Man in the Moon. I assume there’s still a Moon Music intro, but they actually incorporated it into the main body of the song for once. 

Rainbow isn’t as long as I was hoping but I’ll happily take it.

iAAM being so short is a surprise. Maybe the soundcheck was close to the full song after all?

Aeterna is also surprisingly short given there’s a hidden track at the end of it. 

One World being so long makes me think maybe A Wave is a hidden track after all, that would be cool.

I think the Chris & Dakota thing is unsubstantiated so I'd take it with a grain of salt, but I guess we'll see. 

I'm overall excited for this tracklist and intrigued as well about potential hidden tracks. I subscribe to the theory that Man in the Moon was combined with the Moon Music intro, which is really exciting because it means we'll have yet another stab at a more alt-rock type song opening up the album. It kind of reminds me of how on AHFOD we had no clue what the opener would sound like and it ended up being a really beloved song. FLFIL is a servicable track and We Pray is solid to me. If Jupiter and Good Feelings pair up nicely together, then I'm feeling really enthused about the rest of the album.

Starting to sort of see the Viva comparisons but it's all going to come down to production and mixing. If they take all the air out of the songs with that thin Max Martin production -- like another guitar solo where we can't even hear the guitar, then RIP.

How do we know that Man in the Moon is an alt rock song? I'm assuming no one heard it we only assumed it's the Singapore soundcheck song before we knew it was iAAM

Why is I'm a Mountain titled iAAM 

Is it because AAM together look like a Mountain?😂😭

At the very start of flifil you can hear the synths from Neon Forest fading out. So that tells me MOON MUSiC may feature elements of Neon Forest somehow. 

I wonder if iAAM is short because it comes off the back of 🌈, like Neon Rainbow (or whatever it is called) bleeds into iAAM and it's a big epic piece of music in the middle of the album?
